They don't realize how many hormones have the "resistance" fail-safe built into it. Dr. Kruse explaining leptin and cortisol resistance follows insulin resistance has been key to my recovery.

I'm thinking of course these receptors might lose their effectiveness from metabolic damage. Thus, the people who already had trouble with sluggish digestion just made it much much worse.
