Hard to argue about diabetes in remission -- without drugs or surgery. Though some will try.

Agreed. Some will and are spinning it still searching for the magic singular human "diet" protocol that solves all health issues. Eat this way, measure this marker, you'll achieve health. "Hey, it worked so well for me." No! Sugar and high starch foods and grains wreak havoc with some of us. Then, mix in processed foods made with recently-developed (in the last 40 years) resistant crops labeled "heart healthy" and you have a mess for many people's metabolisms. One thing not often realized is the fact that some of those who have discovered a healthier way of eating and have rigorously applied it for many years are able to gradually adjust their diets to include more starchy vegetables and other foods they initially eliminated while continuing to stay healthy. But it takes time to get to that point. They have evolved metabolically to be insulin sensitive. For those who are attempting to beat a newly diagnosed pre- or T2D condition and/or have lots of weight and high levels of visceral fat, they need to take a much more radical approach like Giancarlo and Katie.
