Seriously. I did the "ribcage +5-inch" thing for years, and hated every supposedly correct fitting bra I subsequently bought. For years, I bought 42C, then suffered with shoulder straps constantly falling off, double-boob lines in front, and underwires that dug into my armpits.

Using the reddit guide above, I learned that my correct size is 38DD ... not 42C. Especially since I mastered "scoop and swoop".
