I'm actually the same. Cutting out grains didn't help my weight loss in the slightest, and adding some grains back in didn't cause weight gain either.
But I do *feel* much better when I avoid wheat products. Giving up weight eliminated my GERD, nausea and vomiting, allowed me to get off daily Prilosec, eliminated severe arthritis pains, my blues and depression lifted - so all good stuff! And if I ingest any now I start to feel nauseous and logy right away. So eliminating gluten grains does good things for me, but weight loss is not one of them.
