I really like Dana Carpender's philosophy. Food, and anything else that nourishes your mind or body, should get priority in your budget. It's crucial that no matter how much (or little) money you make, you must try to live a little below your means.

An egg recipe I like to do just to change the flavour once in a while is to poach them in tomato sauce. You only need a quarter cup or so of sauce. If it's not already thin, add some water so the eggs can steam without the sauce cooking to the bottom of the pan.
