Default Scharffen Berger Cacao Nibs

Scharffen Berger Cacao Nibs

These are the low carb chocolate chip! I add them to chocolate desserts for an extra chocolate boost. 1 tablespoon goes a long way.

“Cacao Nibs are perfectly roasted cocoa beans separated from their husks and broken into small bits. They are the essence of chocolate. Nibs add crunchiness and subtle chocolate flavor to baked goods and savory dishes. They make a great substitute for roasted nuts or chocolate chips, without added sweetness.”

For 1 Tablespoon:

Calories: 70
Fat: 5 grams
Carbohydrate: 5.62 grams (it said 4 on the label, but I ran it through the carb counter)
Fiber: > 1 gram
Protein: 1 gram

Their unsweetened chocolate is fantastic – not bitter and very smooth in texture unlike Bakers chocolate, which can be very grainy when used in low carb desserts.
