Yep, I'm in Christchurch. Don't think there are many here, although I have found some low carb activity on the trademe forum.

Hi Backtoslim,
I hadnt thought of checking out TradeMe. I sometimes play around on the yahoo Xtra message boards. people can get quite nasty there and its a lovely change to be somewhere where all here for the same reason and to be supportive.
nice to meet you :)

Don't you remember the song "Kiwi Birds are quiet and shy?"
I never see many kiwis here, the few I had met seem to vanish away. There are a few aussies though!

hey there Muffles,

There are always enough aussies.

Hello, I'm here too! On the banks peninsula at the moment and moving to Chch on th 9th of Jan.

At the moment I am learning about low-carb, and trying as much as I can with Christmas in the way...and a house move right after.

After Christmas I am going to buy myself some scales. The highest I have ever weighed myself at was 102kilos, but I know have been higher, at least one dress size higher so I am estimating 110. I am down to about 95 at the moment but as I weigh on different scales each time this is not accurate.

So I am doing the best I can for the moment and then as soon as the move is behind me.....off I go.

I wish I could start now, but there is no point in shooting myself in the foot! I intend to start a journal as soon as the move is over, and the computer plugged in again, I have never journaled or blogged before so that will be a whole new thing too.

Here's to a new life in 2009
