Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles

These are insanely good.

Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles
30-40 green beans, fresh
1/4 c. butter
1/4 t. dry mustard
1/8 t. brown sugar twin
1/2 t. splenda
1/2 garlic clove, minced
1/8 t. salt
3 slices thick-sliced bacon

Fill large saucepan with water; bring to boil. Add beans and blanch 3-4 minutes till crisp-tender and bendable.
Drain, rinse in cold water, pat dry and place in single layer in casserole dish.
In med. saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in mustard, garlic, bs twin, splenda and salt.
Pour over beans.
Toss to coat.
Cover and refrigerate 4 hrs or overnight
Take out of fridge and let butter soften 30 min or so.
Make bundles of 5-7 beans and wrap with half a slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick.
Lay back in single layer in the casserole dish
Bake at 375, uncovered, for 45 minutes, till bacon is golden brown and beans are wrinkled.

Sooooooo good!!

MyPLAN shows total carb count of 4g, with 1.7g fiber, for each serving (3 servings of 2 bundles each).

So .... presumably you mix the other ingredients with the butter - do you drizzle them over the beans before you bundle them, or do you drizzle them over the wrapped bundles before you bake them? Sounds like a delicious combination!

Whoops! :o Guess I should have included that part of the recipe!! Sorry.

You melt the butter, mix the other ingredients and pour over the beans before you refrigerate them.

I edited the recipe to include that.

You can do this with canned green beans also...not as good, but still delicious.
