Listen to this.....

I was curious on how much attention and respect are given to women who are "thin" on dating sites.

This is what I did. you might think I am "silly" but here goes.

remember: I did not do this to be "mean" to anyone on the site...........

1. I put a picture of myself up as myself now under a name under a dating site.

2. I put a picture of myself when I was thinnner of myself under a different name on the same dating site.


This is what I found out.

Hey, it was actually kind of fun; no harm done I would never meet these guys anyway!

I found out that most men are basically cruel to women who are overweight. These men did not know it was the same person in the two different pictures....

First they would not speak to me more than once, the fat me.

These guys would ignore me when I tried to instant message them, yet when I signed off and went under my other name there would be a dozen emails and instant messages waiting.

I realize this may sound "dumb" to do for some people,
Yet I wanted to find out the real reason why these men were ignoring me. It was not me, it was my fat.

I would never meet one of these men when I lose the weight, because basically they were not nice to me in my real profile.

Doing this helped me to realize what some of these internet dating guys are all about.

But the "sad" part about it was; most of these men were not good looking by any means, they were just stuck up and in some "internet dating dream world!" :lol:

Because they are living in a testosterone haze, where a beer gut is known as a six-pack (more like a keg) and hair in his ears is considered an aphrodisiac.
It was wise of you to weed out these losers before actually dating them. Now remember to save your "before" picture so you can do the same thing when you are at goal "after".

It's not just the internet dating world. I've been turned down flat because of my weight. Of course, they had OTHER reasons to my FACE... but told friends another story, that they could "do better than THAT cow" or the memorable "She's too fat, too loud and not very ladylike".

The second guy is a middle-aged, beer-gutted church deacon and schoolteacher who ONLY wants a skinny young girlfriend. MUCH to the whole town's suprise, he found one who would HAVE HIM! :o

Karma came in to play... after he bought her a ring and a car (used..he's on a teacher's salary) she took up with two or three other men and left him in the dust.

So much for skinny being a virtue.

There are men out there who value a woman for who she IS, not the size of her butt. I wish it suprised me more to know you had such an experience.

It doesn't really surprise me either, but I'm sorry you've experienced it.

Please don't give up, and don't feel you have to wait until you're 'thin'.

I met (on the internet) and married my husband at almost the size I'm at now, and he adores me at every size. He's a little big himself, but he's also an entrepreneur with a PhD in Physics.

There are good ones out there who will love YOU, and enjoy whatever wrapper you happen to be in at the moment.

You wouldn't want to marry anyone who'd make those comments publicly about *anyone*. Sounds like a man looking for a nice DOORMAT!

Just like the rude guys that cant find a date that go off and buy a Russian "love Slave", they think they will make the best wives, and before the ink is dry on the marriage certificate they most often "escape" from these weirdos and run off with their green card. a U.S citizen......................Thanks for the fun reply, Gina :agree:

I just wanted to tell you all about my boyfriend Randall..I met him 5 years ago at a music festival...I was thin then..about 125 lbs on a real good day...He had these fantastic muscles too. We fell in love and weve not been apart for a day since then..I have seen him lose those pretty muscles and I had gained all that weight..Well, hes stuck with me thru thick and thin...I got up to 208 lbs..He never told me I was fat, never told me that he did not desire me, and always told me he loved me..He says he likes his women THICK...So, you just have to get to know the person on the inside first..If they dont want anything to do with you because of your weight they arent worth wasting your time on..For real!!! I decided to lose this weight because of my blood pressure and I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Oh yeah, I'm 11 years older than him too :D

This guy was sure upset when I told him he was too old for me....that's what he gets for avoiding my fat picture...lol :lol:

It's so predictable with guys like those..they're too shallow. They definitely don't deserve our time.
