Quick, Easy, Completely Satisfying Treat

Hi Everyone :)

This is my favorite sweet treat. It had to be quick 'cos when I am craving sweets it is not wise to hang around in the kitchen or get into the baking/cooking mood.

Sweetener (2-3)
Double Cream (1 Tbsp)
Strawberries (1-2)
Nut Flour (1-2 teasp)
Nuts (2-6)

On to a saucer 2-3 sweeteners pills (four if I feel like VERY SWEET sweet and/or don't have berries); a tablespoon of double cream. Crush the sweeteners with a fork/spoon and mix with the cream so the sweetness is evenly spread. Crush one or two fresh ripe strawberries into the cream; sprinkle 1-2 tsp. nut flour (I make small batches of my own in the coffee grinder with sesame, sunflower, pumpkin and whatever else); a few whole nuts (crunch factor).

Mix it all up and take a good five minutes to savour every last spoonful of it - Lick the plate clean ! :p ;) Once I've had that I don't get hungry for hours.
Take care

fiona this sounds terrific! i'll have to try it. i keep meaning to buy another coffed grinder just for nuts!

any idea how the tablets convert to powder sweetener? i know doreen posted it somewhere, but i can't seem to find it.

I think it is absolutely yummy.

I am not 100% certain but I believe 1 sweetener pill is equivalent to 1 teaspoon of sugar. So I expect 1 teaspoon of sweetener powder. Just experiment. Add two and if you feel you need to have it sweeter next time add more.

I haven't found Stavia in UK so I find it easier to stick to the pills. The carb content of the powders available here is not very clear.

You'll love it ! :D
Take care.

cream

Is double cream the same as heavy or whipping cream?

I believe what we call double cream here is what you call heavy cream over the pond.

Double cream is often used for whipping but we also have a different cream which is Whipping cream.

Take care
