What ham to buy?, What mayonase to buy?

Hello, :)

Every ham I checked was cured with honey or sugar.
Every mayo I checked had some form of sugar.
I shop at Krogers.
What and Where can I buy ham and mayo without sugar?

Here in the South you can buy Duke's mayo without sugar. Not sure about elsewhere. But I never buy mayo anyway as I consider the huge amount of soybean oil in commericial mayo to be far more detrimental to my health than the teensy-weensy amount of sugar. So if I want mayo I make mine own - sugar-free but with healthier oils also. :D

Ham and mayo

Debbie,

I liked yor pastels. I liked the glow in each of them

Btw I was unaware of health issues associated with Soy. I will look for soy issues in the net.

Thank you for your forum comments. Do you have any solution to the problem of trying to buy ham sold without honey or sugar coating or sugar injection of the entire ham? I would enjoy ham and eggs in the morning. I would like to buy ham with no honey or sugar but have seen nothing in stores except the above.

Again, thank you
Will
PS congrats on the loss of 100 lbs - a magnificent acomplishment .

Hi, I'm not a big ham eater so I'm not sure my comments are worth anything! But in general I don't feel the sugar in ham is really enough to worry about - same way I feel about bacon. :D

If I buy ham I usually get sliced deli ham. I love the Boars Head Rosemary Ham - I don't think it's honey or sugar coated but I could be wrong, and no clue about sugar injections. I guess I don't worry since I eat it so seldom.

I've never ordered from Wellness Meats, but I've read posts from others who have and were very satisfied, so you might look at http://www.grasslandbeef.com/Detail.bok?no=1191

Thanks for your kind words about my pastels (and my weight loss, though I sure wish I could lost *another* hundred, but have been stalled for many years now)
