eggs for the record, are NOT baby chicks- chickens fertilize after eggs are laid. So it's a chicken period, really. ;)

msmum1977 Sat, Apr-25-15 09:45

I know they're not chicks. If there is no rooster they aren't fertilized before they're laid.. sorry, I was trying to be funny or stupid.

PS, How did you do on your race Robin?

Marieshops Sat, Apr-25-15 10:03

ranch wings and spinach salad

Elizellen Sat, Apr-25-15 10:22

I had a "wooshie pie-let"* and some microwaved aubergine (eggplant) slices with the juices that ran off the pie-let poured over - yummy!!

*For anyone who doesn't know - a wooshie pie-let is basically two large burger patties, one placed as a base, then a mix of cream cheese, mustard powder and horseradish placed on it and the other patty placed on top and sealed to the bottom one. Makes a really juicy testy meal!!

The original recipe I adapted it from called for a pound of ground beef and made a 7" pie.

oh, haha! Sorry, a LOT of people don't know this about chicks, so i just assumed you didn't.

The race was successful- i was in it, to fight to finish, not for time. And to my SHOCK i finished. 12.5 mountains miles last weekend (that was tough!), but this weekend was easy flat 10 miler carrying about 15-20 pounds in ruck (backpack).
Feeling UNSTOPPABLE, after having been so sick for so many months :D

Today's lunch was out with friends for goodbye before parting ways until the next race- crabcake (no filler), side salad with blue cheese, 2 chicken wings, and champagne. YUM!

Robin120 Mon, Apr-27-15 09:26

2 chicken sausage patties
2 string cheese
seaweed snax

pineapple coconut crytsal lite

Wow Robin, That's just amazing. Unbelievable how you are recovering sooo well and how in the world you can go for that many miles.
You should be very proud of yourself!! :cheer:

today I'm having two eggs scrambled in bacon fat, and three bbq'd italian sausages. Some cut vegetables.

pazia Tue, Apr-28-15 12:02

I usually skip lunch, but today needed to make something quick: cut up a few salami slices, sprinkled with Italian herbs, baked for a few minutes; and also melted some cheese in a bowl with onion powder and cayenne. Dipped the salami in melted cheese, it was sort of like a queso dip, very good.

thanks Meme! It's just left then right, until somehow you are at the finish line. My team comes in dead last at EVERY race (i am civilian support for a team of adaptive athletes, most of whom are Vets. they are so inspiring- so we just take our time, no need to run, and enjoy a 12 hour long slow hike).

today:
teriyaki seaweed snacks
few ounces swiss
huge steamed egg
edmame

diet cranberry mango juice
tiger nuts for a snack
maybe a greek yogurt
