Old, sedentary, and Atkins

Will Atkins do just as well for old, sedentary folk?

Yup.

Most folks tweek it. Adding IF eventually. Like eating with an 8 hr or 6 hour time period.

You might like the solutions to menopausal weight gain, bone loss, etc. basically it is increase the protein percentage by reducing carbs and fat. If you are sedentary, you would then adjust those changes even further. The numbers are in this new study:

In addition to the moving towards a higher protein lower fat version of Atkins, focusing on the nutrients needed to avoid bone loss is very helpful.. here’s a good analysis of the study, with food list suggestions.

After one week, I think I've given a few pounds to the Universe. I don't have a scale, but clothes are a bit looser! Thanks for the links.

Hello, saw your post on Judy’s journal and thought I’d say hi. I’m 52, still having my monthly’s but on HRT. I’m following SB and occasional days of Stillman. One thing is for sure, the pounds don’t drop like they use to. My body really doesn’t want to give up the excess fat, I use to drop weight so quickly but not anymore.😞 Thanks for the links, I’ll take a look.
