It's fun. It's a self-contained classroom (not autism) for students with various learning disabilities mostly impacting reading skills. I have kids in and out but the core group is 9 students. I'm drowning right now because I just started yesterday, have never been in a SPED classroom even subbing and I am not a trained teacher and the students haven't even been pre-assessed for the curriculum yet this year. No sub has stayed more than a day, apparently. They went in and put me in until June without asking so they must be super desperate despite my utter lack of qualifications LOL. They seem to have a lot of confidence.

There's a special place for teachers, who do such wonderful work for our children, jschwab! Wish the U.S. would value their role in shaping our society, tho'.

Squeezed in a dinnertime mile walk last night and am finishing another 16:8 IF this morning, although am still not sure if it makes a big difference for me; my body hates being forced to give up weight---ugh! Calling on the whoosh fairy to put an end to this challenge for me!

Kids know when u care, they oay more attention. When I subbed for the kids that needed extra help, teachers in ajacent classes didnt like our noise. We had fun learning together.

Reward works faaaar better than punishment which schools are keen on.

It's going to be a fight with the classroom assistants. They have been programmed to think silence = learning and just yell, yell, yell. The kids need to be socialized out of that, though. New rules and methods start Monday.

Dear All
Hello! I was not on plan but I made a huge effort to go to the gym on Saturday and my daughter wanted to try the kid academy at the gym. She made a few friends there and after 45 minutes of walking I took her to the indoor pool so we could swim with her friends. I was delighted to be so active. We stayed at my boyfriend that night and he took us and his boys out to hibachi and we all slept over it was so nice! I still want to lose weight though. Before we drive home today from the magic of lights exhibit I made sure to buy some almond milk to mix with my protein powder for tomorrow’s breakfast and Lunch . I really love the idea of drinking meals taking supplements and saving money too!
I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!
Love Entropy
