There is actually a gum out called Blitz, I found it in Eckerds here in Florida it cost $1.50, but it is sf and sweetened with splenda which is what dr.A. recommends.

I chew gum when I crave sugar like crazy. One gram of sugar alcohol couldn't hurt, right?

dentyne

At least here in Canada, so I'm sure in the US as well Dentyne has come out with a sugar free gum sweetened with Splenda. I have some in my purse for the odd sweet taste now and then.

about gum

I also like chewing gum my brand is sugar-free dentyne and it has splenda in it, no carbs, make sure it has the splenda symbol on the outside of the package, I can only buy it in peppermint and cinnamon, hope that helps, skatrmom

question?

Are you a Christian carol.pino?

carol.pino Fri, Oct-10-03 09:20

skatrmom..Yes, I was raised by a strict Catholic/Italian Mom from Brooklyn N.Y. :)

If your asking because of the "doing Atkins with God" in my signature, the story behind that is :

I was fretting about my daughters upcoming wedding and my other daughter moving away to college..etc. at the park one day (with my sister). This lady that we see all the time walking, but never spoke to, came over to where we were sitting and she open her book and began reading...

she looked up after a few minutes and asked if we were christians and we said yes and she began reading a chapter from her book on the same subject I was just talking about...she was saying how we say we are going to put things in Gods hands and then we continue to stress and worry over it...(she was not there when I was talking to my sister about this)

Well she said her and her husband did everything together for 40 years and always said "we are doing this in your name (God)" before they went or did anything....and she said they have never wanted for anything.

She is an author of 5 religious books and she really opened my eyes that day. I wish I could say I never worry or stress anymore, but I try to catch myself and give it up to Him...

So just as I want to loose weight and feel more healthier, I added that to my signature, and start everyday when I go into fitday asking God to be with me throughout the day and help me stick to this ...

End of surmon....:)
