Back again
Just wanted to say hello. I am back .... AGAIN. Don't even want to count how many times I have started (and stopped) but I started again Saturday so checking in here for a little accountability. I have almost 200 lbs to lose.

Welcome back to success. I too journal to stay focused and accountable. It really helps me on my journey. The 90 day good habit challenge was very helpful when I needed to establish a couple good habits. Helped me give up pizza. lol Good luck with your new start!!

Welcome Back Meggan!
Suggestion: Stop Counting |
Hi, Meggen! I have lost track of the times I started, re-started, re-re-started, but I truly believe low-carbing is the best way to live a healthier and happier life. It is more doable than ever with the popularity of the Keto approach.

Thanks. I am currently working on a 70 day exercise challenge Quote:
Good advice! Quote:
I agree, I feel better on low-carb, and it's easier then ever with all the Keto craze. |
Welcome back. :) I like your weight loss ticker!
I have "Weight Loss" on my Google News feed, so I'm always getting articles like this one that are usually useless, but I've actually found myself thinking about a couple of these: https://www.popsugar.com/fitness/Ho...ep-Off-45098069 Quote:
A "reason bigger than your excuses". I like that. I've really been thinking about it in specific terms of my health, instead of just "I want to lose weight for my health". Quote:
When we have a lot of weight to lose, it can seem like a too tall task. I remember JudyNYC always saying that she lost 100+ lbs of weight by making a 10 lb goal at a time. I've shortened my immediate weight loss goal to reflect where I was at the beginning of the year. (Sadly) Then I'm going to choose another lesser goal. But I'm also thinking about fitness goals. For instance, where I walk every day there is an incline coming back and I want to be able to get up it without stopping to catch my breath. I'm also focusing on sleeping more; doing the right things to bring that about like turning off the computer at night earlier. Quote:
"Progress, not perfection". It's an oldie, but a goodie. |

Thanks. I picked that one because my dog needs to lose 3 lbs, so he has agreed to do extra walking with me to help motivate me  Quote:
Thanks for the link, some of these things I am doing, and some are really good ideas. I am already using NON weight goals (completing my exercise and drinking water everyday). Know my why..... I will definately have to think about that more.... |
I have learned this time to take the slow road to success and am doing much better at it. Have lost 60 since the end of December and have not slid back like the times I tried to lose weight rapidly.
|
When our "why" becomes "our life style" meaning choosing lc as a way of life and having the tools and mental mind set of that, it becomes a way of life. I only achieved this in 2018. I am a slow learner apparently, but I am glad to have found my way finally. You too will find your way when you are ready. Just don't quit. Keep coming back to LC !!!!
