Carb Sense Tortillas

I was reading the lo carb recipies and saw mention of Carb Sense Tortillas

What is their carb count?
What are they made of?
Where can you buy them?

I love tacos but I need to avoid corn and flour tortillas as grains and avoid coconut tortillas because they are so high carb

Any suggestions?

Is it these? If so, I wouldn't touch them with a 10-ft pole if you're trying to figure out food sensitivity issues. :exclm: They're wheat.

I don't worry about wheat, but I do avoid Interesterified and Hydrogenated Soybean Oils and Canola Oil.

Vegetable oils are inflammatory, and even if the soy isn't Interesterified and Hydrogenated I'd stay away. I don't know what Interesterified is but I know Hydrogenated oils are the worst kind.

But speaking of wheat, just what is MODIFIED wheat starch?

No, I'd pass on these as well.

Going low-carb/keto means giving up some foods, but gaining others to replace them.

I looked them up on Amazon, and as you say they do contain /grain. OK so Carb Sense tortillas are out - coconut flour tortillas are out - low carb tortillas are out

The tortillas advertised on Amazon are either a higher carb content or are grain based. The ones at the local grocery are all grain based.

Sigh - I love tacos - just one more food to give up

It is not a problem to "give up foods" that are making you sick and inflamed. Serve taco meat over salad, in half a bell pepper, or in an egg omelet. Understand you have limits in your kitchen, but you can also make cheese shells...just like cheese crisps. In a microwave on parchment paper. https://www.lowcarbmaven.com/low-ca...-recipe-cheese/

I have just bought some cauliflower small "flat breads" advertised as the substitute for the hamburger bun. They are in the fridge ready to try today. Will they substitute for extra small tortillas?
Quien sabe?

You are probably right.

I don't eat it because it has too many carbs. I'm strict keto and have been since it was called original Atkins induction.
