symphony odd's ladyfingerish dessert

:)

I use the rev roll recipe from HERE. While I am beating the yolks I add in some cocoa powder and splenda to sweeten.

I bake them as they are to be baked and cool as well.

Then I whip up some whipping cream. YUM

You can cut the rev rolls into strips or just cut one in half put a large dollop of cream on one and then add the other half of rev roll on top. Decorate with MORE whipped cream.

My dh likes to chop almonds and sprinkle on top.

It is a tastey treat!! :agree: :yum:

This sounds great!

Well Yummo! How smart!

I think this is worth a whirl!

I think a vanilla version would work with a bit of say golden flax meal and more sweetener!

Thanks!

Oh my, I'm interested in this!!

One question though....when you say cool the rolls, is that just room temp and still crunchy or do you mean like in the fridge in the ziplock bag so they are soft?

Symphonyod Wed, Apr-18-07 18:28

I just room temp them.. it's so humid here they don't stay crunchy long!

Great, Thank you!

I'm glad somebody finally tried a chocolate version. Now I need to! I could make little tiny ones and fill with whipped cream. How much cocoa powder?

Symphonyod Thu, Apr-19-07 13:28

See.. I use a larger spoon from my silverware and just do about half of that. I am bad for just estimating.. SORRY!

Finally someone did the cocoa version. I have been waiting more than a month for the results.
Thank you.

ElleH Thu, Apr-19-07 14:22

That sounds like about 1 tablespoon, maybe a little less. Thanks! That's what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure it wasn't more.
