DH may have some cholesterol
issues. I'm not sure yet though, as he doesn't know the breakdown. Or the total number.. :help:
Anywho, I probably should have expected this as he is a person who eats whatever and doesn't gain weight. However, I've worried that he would have issues. I know a few years back his TG were high, but since his TC was within limits, it wasn't an issue. Funny thing is, his ratio is probably worse than mine! His blood pressure is good though. |
TG's don't contribute very much to total cholesterol but very high TG's can be lethal.
formula: TC=LDL + HDL + (TG/5) |
The whole total cholesterol thing is seriously out of whack. HDL is good and if you have very high good cholesterol, it could push your TC number into a zone that worries the standard doctor-droid.

That's exactly what I have going on. I'm just glad that the reports of statins being recalled stuck in my mind and when he said he wanted to put me on something, I flat said No. :o (which is hard for me, but damn, I'm the one who has to live with it) [ETA: I was printing some things out to show him, but you know what? I bet I'm wasting my time and paper. I don't think he'll even look at them. I'm not that smart, ya know? ] [EATA (edited again to add) He did say the one that was "kinda high" but within range, he asked how to bring it down and they said exercise. So, I think it's his TG] |
