Dr. Katz is quoted in the article. But isn't he a vegetarian, restricting all meat from his diet? If so, the new spelling for "hypocrite" should be "Katz." |
Evidently animal meats are not a food group.

They are about selling ads. Who advertises with them? Giant processed food companies.
In the US, if something isn't constantly advertised, it creates this zone of "not really existing." Now if real food producers could band together, they might get some leverage back. But the beef council is going to have factory farms represented, and those have to go, too. |
The good news is that organically grown is continually increasing in production..... both vegetables and meats. Is it driven by advertizing or consumers getting educated? I would like to think the latter.

Dr. Katz is the director of the Yale Prevention Center, whose website says is funded by the CDC. On the YPC website under the news is a link to the True Health Initiative Newsletter, which was also founded by Dr. Katz. Guess who helps fund that? Barilla, Kind, and lots of vegetarian non-profits, among others.
|
Dr. David Katz was also a member of the team of experts that recently rated Keto to be the worst in the U.S. News and World Report diet rankings. We have a separate thread on that.

This guy would've loved Ancel Keys.
