Still have some Listerine left. It's good to soothe mosquito and fire ant bites. Better than witch hazel or using diluted Clorox.

The Crest or others with cetylpyridium chloride are good as an antiseptic for cuts or scrapes, but will stain your teeth. It can even cure a staph infection.

It is an antiseptic that kills bacteria and other microorganisms. It has been shown to be effective in preventing dental plaque and reducing gingivitis. It has also been used as an ingredient in certain pesticides. Cetylpyridinium chloride may cause brown stains between the teeth and on the surface of teeth.

Dang, wish I had put it in medicine cabinet instead.

A curious website with a list of mouth health options. Listerine is listed as a cleaner of the toothbrush, not the mouth.

Several interesting options to balancing the flora of the mouth. Even Xylitol.

That's a great idea.

I’ve started reading The Dental Diet. I’m only up to chapter 4 but agree with Arielle here. This is an important book and chock full of information new to me and facinating. The concepts of oxygen being the most important nutrient and how a poor diet affects facial and jaw growth and subsequently how we breathe ... how this all ties in with snoring and sleep apnea, UARS, not to mention his interesting research into human evolutionary development - this information is not what I was expecting when I bought the book. I figured It would be a rehash of low carb/health info that I have read in many other books, so I am pleasantly suprised and hope it continues to educate me!

As you find this book The Dental Diet a great read, you might next tackle Jaws. Im sorry I dont have the name of the author, as I have loaned the books to a friend.

Jaws is focused on jaw development and teeth alignment, or not, due to the poor structure. It offers a program to improve the design of the jaw but....

Development starts in the womb. ANd every step, or chew, along the developmental years sets the design of the mouth.

I always marvel at the poorest children and people of the world have the best teeth. Big strong jaws, straight teeth, and fewer cavities...from MANY sources over the years..... and yet no help from the powers that be to help us find the way to better health.

We are on our own. Grassroots change. Please pass on a copy of the book The Dental DIet to every new mom in your life. Especially during pregnancy to help her with the first steps. Lot cheaper than braces!!!

Today, DH and were catching up on the trip to ICELAND. He shared that the people there eat Gouda like we eat AMerican CHeese. It is presliced in containers ready to peel off for immediate use.

I am ready to ban American cheese from this house.

Got an ALDI store near you? The one near me usually has sliced gouda packages in the same spot as other sliced cheeses like cheddar, etc.

My kids always wanted that but I never would buy it, it's not real cheese. Cheese Product...
Like chocolatey flavoring is not real chocolate.

Ms Arielle Sun, Jul-22-18 06:29

Yes, a cheese product. ANd I HATE the extra non-recylable individual wrappers.
