Vitamin K banned in Canada again?????

I went to my 2 local HFS yesterday to get more of my K2 and they both said that it is banned from being sold in Canada again...???? what is going on in this place?

I've been able to purchase it easily for the last year, and now its banned again???

Anybody else have this issue?

Can you get it through the internet?

not as far as I know, it's a restricted product - considered a drug and would be confiscated at customs...

can u get a script for it?

I bet you could buy Natto at an Asian grocery. It's really high in K2.

thanks for the suggestions, does anybody know if nattokinase(the supplement) has K2?

thanks, i'm kind of scare of natto- just because it's terrible tasting, i've read from many sources :) I can't do bad tastes or smells so I really doubt I'd be able to handle natto. (Whey protein taste makes me gag....)

Nattokinase is made from natto, so it should work.

thanks Deezil, that's why I'm taking it...my mother has Osteop. and I hope to avoid that as well as other health issues that are improved by Vitamin K.

I'm with ya' Deb...really want that calcium directed to where it needs to go and not hang out in my arteries...my mom just found out she has partial blockages/narrowing in her neck...scary. :(

For anyone in Canada still trying to buy Vit. K2, it has not been banned. I went to my local health food store, the shelf was empty, so I asked if it was still available. I was told that it had not been banned, so I ordered some, and it has now arrived.
I live in Ontario, but I assume the same rules apply all across Canada.

I also live in Ontario and the above still stands with my two local HFS. They keep telling me they are not allowed to sell it...believe me, I keep asking...
