Hi All!

Great to see Glenda, Steph and Jude at RR in March. Now it's time to think about April.....

Janet, Anny, others, what dates would make it more likely that you all could join us? WE MISS YOU!!!!!

I missed my Saturday PT Cruiser Club rally as I was being Suzy Home Repair Wizard at my neighbour's place stripping off wall paper in her bathroom. I will go to the next meeting though.

I'm interested in thoughts here.... my father called me tonight (from my sisters place). Instead of "hello" I got "who's this?" when I answered. Typical..... Without any notice he's here for the week and said he would call "in a couple of days" to see about getting together for dinner-whatever.

I have plans and/or physio every day this week. SO says he's busy no matter what day my dad calls (as in - leave me alone I have no interest in seeing your crazy family - wish I had that option!!!!).

I do not want to go for dinner and hear about my so called crazy diet.... I also do not want to hear about not wanting to see them. arrggggg!!!!

As one can tell, I am feeling VERY SORRY for myself right now...... I am trying to figure out how to gracefully get myself out of this mess......

Julie luv, sorry to hear about the disruption in your life! Please say hello from John and me. Would it help, do you think, if you told him we've become quite good friends and that John and I are following the same eating plan and we're healthier than ever? You can add whatever exaggerations you think might help - I'll back you up!

Just thought I'd mention the window of April when we'll be in town. We're leaving for Alberta on the 3rd via a show in Vancouver that weekend. Then Sunday evening we'll be on the road, heading for Edmonton. That show is April 10 & 11th, Good Friday and Saturday, the Easter Sunday off. We'll drive down to Calgary probably on the 13th, spend a couple of day seeing friends and customers, then take a couple of days to get home, hopefully by the 17th. Home until the 23rd. Back to the mainland on the 24th for a show on the 25th & 26th (setup the evening of the 24th). Then home again and back to a proper golf schedule for awhile!!!

Thanks Glenda..... I am going to try to avoid any discussion about food at all with them.....I will name drop if it will help.

As to availability - looks like we have a window of April 18 to 22 to plan a dinner. All of those days are fine with me.

Just thought of it ... a tad late as usual! We have a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at the Cedar Hill Rec Centre, of collectors of stamps, tokens, postal and Canadian history, etc. from 9AM til about 11:30 or 12 noon. I'm sure your dad would meet some old friends there - if not this visit, then next time he's in town. It's on every Tuesday.

Glenda - I sent him a message, not sure if he is checking mail or not while he is here. Hope he is and connects with you.

I'm afraid April is out for me coming over for a weekend lunch. I am busy for the next three weekends and then I am on a 12 day Hawaiian Islands to Vancouver repositioning cruise :D :D :D

I'll check back in when I get home the first week in May & see how May looks for coming over.

I did a repositioning cruise last year which was AWESOME!

Have a super time on your cruise Janet and, as Julie says, report back when you're home! We may not demand a blow-by-blow but a recap will be required.

We finished our working weekend in Vancouver and drove as far as Merritt - it was dark by the time we got here and we didn't feel energetic enough to push on to Kamloops - we'll get there for breakfast tomorrow. Not sure where we'll stop tomorrow night - probably Hinton but don't know if there'll be internet so I may not report in again until we get to Edmonton.

I picked up a bug just before we left home but, between oil of oregano and a start on a session of prednisone to cover the asthma, I think I may survive although I just might not pull my share of the driving this time!

Will try to keep you all posted!

I don't see many evenings this month being too much of a problem with the exception of the 14th and 15th! (so far!)

Any ideas on where you'd all like to go?

I'm happy with RR but would be open to something else as well....

The Four Mile pub does cheap wings and prawns on Mondays. The Shark Club does cheap wings on Wednesdays.

Just a thought.
