Asian Chicken

OMG This is sooo good! My whole family loves it too (non-LC'ers).

1 pound chicken cut into strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 teaspoons seasame oil
3 slices ginger root (I buy the pre-minced in the bottle)
2 cloves garlic
2 Tablespoons brown sugar twin
* olive oil

Put all ingredients except olive oil in a bowl, microwave for 20 seconds. Mix together with a fork. Put chicken in a pan and drizzle with olive oil, add mixture and cook until chicken is white all the way through.
I like to put mine on aluminum foil and cook it on the grill. We eat this plain or in a salad about twice a week it is so good!

OMG, this sounds delicious!!! I'm printing it out now and will be getting some ingred. on Friday --- oh, oh, I can hardly wait :yum: :yum: I realize it's the sesame oil that will make the difference (I make something similar but yours sounds much better).

Thank you sooo much for posting this recipe :)

This was sooo good! I felt like I was being so naughty! :agree:

I madde it slightly different useing what I had. Chicken drums (5) and regular splenda. I also sprinkled a few sesame seeds on top. Yummy, I cant wait to try it on my hubby tonight. (I'm not even going to tell him it's low carb :D )

I'm making this now except frying it as a stir fry. I've done almost the exact same thing before many times although always with beef. I can't believe I've never thought to use chicken. I'm letting the chicken marinate in the sauce right now.

This sounds good, I'm wanting something to simulate sweet & sour.

Could someone explain how this is induction friendly? It seems like the soy sauce would not make it induction friendly. Just trying to grasp what is allowed and what is not. Thanks

I tried this and was very happy with the results. I used pork. Then I stir fried some veggies & served the meat and sauce over it. YUM.

all pupose thai kind of sauce

I have been using this all purpose sauce for cooked chicken, pork and it also works great with shrimp, as well as ground beef or turkey. I do not have carb counts, so cannot say how induction friendly this would be, but could not be easier to put together. I have also seen it with the addition of peanut butter:

1 (14 oz) can of coconut milk
1 tsp Siracha chili paste (or some kind of heat, to taste)
1 TBS brown sugar sub
1 TBS fish sauce
! TBS lime juice

Bring 1/4 cup coconut milk and chili paste to boil in large pan or skillet, use medium heat and whisk constantly for 5 minutes, this will thicken it a bit. Right in the can of remaining milk, add the fish sauce and brown sugar sub, mix with a spoon, and pour in the skillet. Add in your cooked meat, stir for about 5 minutes on low heat. At the last minute, add in your lime juice and simmer for another minute.

If you can eat peppers and onions, it is lovely with stir fried chunks of
peppers, onions and topped with sliced green onions and fresh basil.

I just looked up soy sauce, and it has 1g carb per tablespoon, which isn't particularly much - 1/4 cup = 4 g carb for 1 pound of chicken (probably about 4 servings?) - I would be more cautious of the brown sugar twin, I think it is a mixture of real sugar and sweetener....

Also, I haven't made this yet (plan to tomorrow!) but I imagine that some of the soy sauce is "left over" and will be dumped towards the end???

:yum: Sounds good and easy - so many recipes I'm finding in this forum! :yum:
