We should all a plan an event where we all could get together like a convention in Las Vegas.

What does everyone think? We could plan it for next fall.

Anyone interested? We could have guest speakers from this forum.

What are your thoughts????? I would help organize it.

if we make it for a year from now, we can start saving enough to go! i can just see it, guest speakers, Karen holding cooking demonstrations, and a sort of trade show where we can stock up on all kinds of suppliments and oils and LC treats and whatever we can never find in our own towns. panel discussions where we can really dig into the issues surrounding LC and the food and medical industry (yes, medical industry). and of course fun stuff too, like body pampering spa day, group exercise... i'm just brainstorming here...

We could make it like a Star Trek convention and come dressed as our favorite LC characters! I'll come dressed as a pork rind!!!

Or dress like the foods we've given up. I'd like to be Darth Tater!...... :lol:

Heck yeah! We went to Vegas last Xmas, it is about time for another trip. Atkins and one armed bandits is for me!

I would definitely go if we had longer to plan. I'd say next year during the summer time. I am so excited, and I think that you should ask the founder and Atkins Nutritionals to get sponsers for the event so that our accomodations or at least meals are all paid for. Another thing you might do is try to do is call the Hotels and see if they will accomodate us some how, like to hugest group rate, and tickets to go see a show. I'm so excited, but I think that it would definitely take longer than a couple of months to plan....we want the biggest turnout because that would show America that LOCarbing is not out, and just how many low-carbers there are. This has got to be a huge deal on a huge scale.

That is a great Idea I would go me and the family. I wonder if there is a way to start a chat room on this forum to help get the word out and to keep us all updated. I live in Edmonton Alberta and I would so go if I new for sure it was going to take place. Black57 do you know any forum mediators that might be able to start a chat room on the main page to help get the word out. I see you are a very senior member do you have any connections?

Id go, and I know a half dozen LC freinds who would road trip it with me! keep it reasonably priced, say under $200 or $300 with hotel, etc, and youd really have something.
