success story

I haven't posted here for a long time so most of you probably don't remember me very well. I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago, and have had many typical struggles with the problem. Well after starting TSP last year I decided to drop the pill and I'm expecting a baby in May. I do have two other children which I consider major miracles that I have them but this was the first time that I had regular cycles off the pill. I wasn't following plan very well, because of getting sick last spring, but obviously this was the best plan for me. Getting your hormones in balance is the trick and miracles can happen.

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I have been trying for a child for almost 2 years and nothing was happening with my body. I weighed 240 at that time, and my gyno kept giving me the run around. She would never tell me what was wrong. Well, I diagnosed myself with PCOS, lost weight (up to 57 pounds) got my fertility specialist to put me on Glucophage, and got pregnant my 1st month off of the pill! I am about 5 1/2 weeks along now, and this is my 1st child and I am so scared! :yay:

Congratulations tigersue and swirl825! Swirl, scared of what exactly? Stress will not do you or your miracle baby any good. All you can do is take care of your self and your body. Control the factors that you do have control over. You need to know in your heart that you did/are doing the best you can to insure the well-being of your baby. The rest is out of your hands and worry won't change that. Try to savor each moment. Your life is about to change forever. :)

You know... it's really weird how when you are pregnant, your emotions are like a roller coaster. When I made that post, I was scared but excited at the same time. Today, I am having one of my confident days. Right now the only thing I am scared of is labor! The only time I've ever even been in the hospital was when I had a breast reduction, which was NOTHING to me. It was a breeze, not pain at all! I am just scared of labor, which probably should be the least of my worries, huh? After I made my post, I had my first prenatal checkup, and I am actually 8 weeks along now, as of today! :)

It is certainly normal to worry about labor. Even if it wasn't your first! But the reality is that though it wouldn't be called labor if it was a piece of cake, its a blip on the screen compared to your reward :) Also, what do you think they invented pain relievers for? I don't want to start an arguement with anyone who is a big believer in labor without intervention. To each her own. But if it helps you, remember that if the pain becomes more than you want to deal with, there are drugs that millions of women use to minimize labor pain and have perfectly healthy babies. Read up on c-section too. That way, should it prove necessary, you will be mentally prepared and know what is going on rather than be paniced at the last minute. This is a whole new journey, of course you are on an emotional roller coaster. Enjoy the ride :)
