To update those numbers, click on User CP on the left end of the green tool bar. There, you will see a menu on the left of the screen. Click on Edit Profile, fill in your correct stats, then scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page and click Save. :) |
That Did It :)
Thanks Kisal!!

Weight Chart Didn't Update
I added a new weight and it did not update the chart.
|
Did you scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save?

You need to click "refresh" before the new weight shows on your chart. :) |
C/P/F percentages
you've probably already heard that the C/P/F percentages near the top of the 'daily entry' box for meals does its math incorrectly.

Please add Jazzercise to the exercise options, Jazzercise is alive and well and as the new promo goes "it's not your mothers Jazzercise" thanks

The exercise will be added to the top of the the drop-down menu on your Cardio Log page. :) |
I don't see eggs in the food list. When I search I get several egg product, but I do not see plain olds eggs, like boiled, fried, scrambled...etc
|
   That happened to me, too! Try searching for "egg" ... singular, not plural. :D

Recipe Swapping
First off - Great web site. Your My P.L.A.N. Tool is very instrumental in helping me keep track of my journey.
Currently, if I create a dish that is not yet in PLAN, I go "New Recipe" and create a recipe of what I am making. Then, when I cook that dish in the future, I'm careful to measure out the ingredients so that when I enter the food on my daily entry, its accurate. On induction its easy to sway 5 carbs either way because you put more or less of an ingredient in. My wife came to the forums and she's been using PLAN too. It doesn't make sense for both of us to create a new recipe. Suprisingly - she can view my PLAN and click 'View Meals', then click on the Recipe in my meal plan. From there, she can Add it to her favorites. Now its free for her to use. This is great and is working as it is now. However... If I make modifications to my recipe - it will affect my historical data (ie. if I add 5 carbs to the recipe and save it .. then look in my log back a week - the carb count for that day will have gone up). If I make changes to my recipe .. it will also affect my wife's. |

A modified recipe should be made into a new recipe to avoid conflicts with historical data. This is a better way, since sometimes a user may need to correct a mistake in a recipe, and need that correction reflected in historical data. Wa'il |
Trying to add a custom food with custom serving size for sweetener. I put in "1 x packet 0.8 grams " and i get a message saying "Please enter the weight in numbers without additional characters". I tried just .8 but it gave me the same message. Is it because it's not a rounded number?
|
haven't been here in a while & I weight more than last time so I entered my new weight under the daily submissions...but when I post it still shows my old weight off to the right...
|
If you mean you entered your new weight on your weight graph in My P.L.A.N., and your weight didn't change on the graph, did you remember to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes? Even then, the new weight sometimes doesn't show unless you click the Refresh button on your browser.
The weights shown to the right of your posts are not related to the weights you enter in My P.L.A.N. To adjust them, you have to go to your User Control Panel and click on Edit Profile. (You can get to your Control Panel by clicking on User CP on the far left of the green tool bar, or by selecting Edit Profile under the Quick Links function on that tool bar.) Make the necessary adjustments to your weight there, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes, and you're done. :) |
graph of weight does not match list of weight. Even though weight has gone done. Dot and line are above last weight.

My PLAN data for "Fish, salmon, king or chinook, smoked, brined (Alaska Native)"
I love the My PLAN tool and having been logging my food for the past few days. It has been a tremendous help, keeping me honest! :-)
But this morning it scared me because it shows 1 ounce of the smoked salmon as having 123 calories. According to the pack and the information on nutritiondata.com, that is the data for a 3 ounce serving. Since I have already consumed the 3 ounces, please tell me this is a bug, or I am not going to get to have any lunch! |
This is a late reply to you, but if you check the USDA nutrition database, from which My P.L.A.N. draws its information, there are 3 or 4 different types of smoked salmon on the list. Most have 33 cal/oz, but one type prepared with the skin, as well as one canned type, are listed at roughly 100 cal/oz. Perhaps you accidentally chose the wrong one to include in your Daily Entry? I've certainly done that before ... usually when trying to find the listing for a particular cut of beef, because the beef list is so long.
You can check the USDA database here. |
Kisal nailed it...I did not realize that there was more than one kind of smoked salmon! Thanks again Kisal.

I tried to enter the Mama Lupe's LC Tortilla; entered calories 60; entered fat 3 grams; total Carbs 7g; fiber 4g, protein 5g. I receive an error message stating that there are 75 calories - it adds something like 6.93 alcohol grams which aren't there - I didn't list any alcohol, as there is none in it.
|
No, it didn't add any alcohol. It's just showing that, when calculating the calorie total, any alcohol grams in the food should be multiplied by 6.93, just like protein grams and carb grams get multiplied by 4 and fat grams by 9. Notice there's a 0 before the * 6.93.
The simplest solution is just to re-enter the food, using the calorie total that My P.L.A.N. calculated. In this case, that would be 75 per tortilla, instead of 60. The label on the product is wrong, probably because the numbers were rounded up to the nearest round number. That isn't an uncommon occurrence, but it's impossible to tell exactly which numbers were rounded off and by how much. Another solution is to leave the calorie count at 60, but subtract the fiber and enter 3g for the carbs. When you calculate that out, you get an actual calorie count of 59. :) |
Thanks, I'll do that!

Hi, the graph bar displaying C/F/P %s shows
4%C 32%P 64%F but my amounts are.... 21.0C # 163.6P 147.1F Which is more fat than protein, but the graph looks wrong... It is in my planner on the 19th August. |

Pippa, the percentages shown are percentages of calories. Remembering that carbs and protein have (approx) 4 kcals per gram and fat has 9 kcals per gram, those figures look correct to me. :) |
I SEEEEEEE! Thanks! ;)

Y2011 bug?
2011 isn't fully deployed (as I write this.) MyPlan appears to work, but stats for other things like weight and exercise is not. |

hi there, Try refreshing/reloading your browser page after submitting the update . That worked for me. Doreen |
I couldn't get the date to change. My data entry date for today's weight and for today's food defaults to Jan 1 2000. I entered my weight for Jan 1 2000, then refreshed, but it still shows as Jan 1 2000---in other words, at the bottom of the list of weigh entries.
I tried entering some food for today, then hit refresh, and it ended up entering that food twice, still under Jan 1 2000. Help?? (merci :) ) |
My date is not changing either.. I'm on Jan 2000. Hope this gets fixed :)
|
That's because the website designers need to update the date range for the database. Right now the range is 2000 to 2010.
