Grilled Cheese "Sandwiches"

Okay....so of course i had to go and mess with recipes...i got this:

Grilled CHeese sandwiches

1/4c heavy cream
2 eggs
1/2c crushed pork rinds
salt, pepper, garlic and onion salts for taste

combine all ingredients, and drop by 1/4cup full into hot frying pan with melted butter. Flip after a few minutes, and add cheese to each piece, and put together like a sandwich. OH MY GOD...it tastes awesome..its the pork rind pancake recipe without the sweeteners! i added tomatoes to mine.....yummmmm

wow sounds good...im gonna try that when i get off induction

Unholy Mon, May-23-05 11:45

Why wait to be off induction as everything in that list is induction friendly :D

2cute4u_04 Mon, May-23-05 14:03

i thought u couldnt have heavy cream

Samantha22 Mon, May-23-05 14:35

i think you can have it in moderation? hmm...might wanna check the list of allowed foods..i'm pretty sure its okay, its half and half that is a no-no

2cute4u_04 Mon, May-23-05 14:46

its says 2 3 tablesspoons a day...so i guess i could only have that recipe one time during induction

Samantha22 Mon, May-23-05 15:12

Oh okay....maybe you could mix it with a little water to make the few TB go a little farther?

4beans4me Mon, May-23-05 15:15

4 Tbs= 1/4 cup, so I personally would use 2 Tbs heavy cream and 2 Tbs water.

4beans4me Mon, May-23-05 15:16

This recipe sounds really good BTW. I'm going to try it with the spicy pork rinds. :yum:

2cute4u_04 Mon, May-23-05 15:18

could you do it without the heavy cream???

4beans4me Mon, May-23-05 15:19

Can't hurt to try. :)

2cute4u_04 Mon, May-23-05 15:19

so should i use water..or just dont use anything

4beans4me Mon, May-23-05 15:21

You would probably need to use water to make the right consistancy. Not using anything may leave your *batter* too dry.

wow Samantha cool recipe,I dont know how you figued it out but i am going to try it for sure..........
I love pork-rinds. :yum:

2cute4u_04 Mon, May-23-05 15:48

well...i tried...and i made it into a BLT instead of grilled cheese...lets just say the heavy cream can not and should not be left out...i could not even eat it
