Day 3, and boy, is my tummy tore up!

Changing what you eat, and how you eat, sometimes is difficult. Today is Day 3, and I have had terrible gas pains in my intestines all morning. No pooting--just pains that feel like someone is kicking my guts inside of me. I finally ended up in the bathroom with a terrible time, but I feel a lot better now.

Hang in there, if it happens to you. I already feel a little more energized and upbeat. I'm so focused, it's not funny. Anyone else get really consumed with this WOE? It's all I can think about. I AM OBSESSED. I can't help it. But it's keeping me on track.

My mouth tastes terrible.

Last night I dreamed about dieting. I was like this the last time too-- every moment was another thought about this diet. I made it last time for 6 months straight, before I snapped, hahaha. This time, I've got a lot more weight to lose. Must. Hang. In. There...!

Hi, While I Mostly follow Atkins, I have a couple copies of South Beach.

Changing food intake affects the foods for the microbiome of the gut. In livestock we change foods over a two week period. It take that long to gentl change the profile n quantites adapting to the new foods.

Fr me, taking probiotics helps ease a fast change over. And actually keeping up a daily allotment helps with if you fall off the wagon.

When feeding cattle and sheep, we focus on feeding the microbes in the rumen. Ours is not a big vat but a thin tube located after the stomach...but functions the same. Eating bread after a long hiatus gave me horrible cramps for 24 hours. Since keeping up with probiotics, GI i happy no matter what goes down.

Hope your GI settles quickly an you have an easier time of it.

Doing a lot better today, thanks!! I woke up at 5 a.m. HUNGRY. I'm going to put full fat yogurt on my shopping list. And after doing this WOE years ago, I found out bread is my trigger. Not chocolates. Not cake. Not potatoes... but bread! I'm feeling a lot more upbeat this morning, even though I did wake up about 4 hours too soon, totally consumed with thoughts of food, and how I'm feeling hungry this morning.
