Jaz....just to clarify...it is NOT my sister with the health issues, it's her daughter(my niece). My Sis understands about the carbs and blood sugar, but her daughter has been in denial and now is paying the price.

Anxious to hear about the interesting interview. Cliffhanger for tomorrow! ;)

G'Nite!

Blue52 Mon, Dec-07-20 20:38

Hi all.

Trig---Happy, happy, happy birthday!!!! Gads, you're still just a puppy. ;) Hope you've had a nice day. Remember, IMO, OK is the new FAB in these times.

Oh, I just LOVED hearing about the golf cart you're going to decorate and cruise around in on vacay w/the kiddo. Nic is so right, you are a FUN gal! Yeah Puleeeeze do send a pix, LOL, says the gal who never does get that together. I'm wanting to see your skinny self. :agree: My God, you've done an incredible job on your woe, and I'm not going to stop saying that!

Also---really? The kid is taking on freaking German?! On her own?! She is one interesting kid and good for her. Very difficult language, imo. But then other than Spanish, which I love and know how to speak a bit, they all are.

Nic---So glad to hear your son is getting through this AOK, if with a bit of discomfort. But hey, if he's eating well, doing his school work and willing to consider a bit of exercise, he's in pretty darn good shape for having the Co-vid.

Also, love hearing about younger son. He's SO GROWING UP. And y'know, IMO Bs in college are fine. In some ways I think, the pressure is much tougher in high school these days---to get into wherever you think you need to be. But in college the idea, IMO, is to get that degree! I've yet to ever see a job application that wants your grade point from college. They just want to know you've got that degree. I think your son is never going to be a huge academic guy, not his thing? But I think he's going to surprise you in so many ways. He already is. The academic regime is for many, so limited, and it's amazing what kids do outside of it, once released from that system to really go for who they are.

Oh, and have I mentioned that I want a mini you in my purse? Ha! Girl, you are the most organized whirlwind of a productive gal! I'd give up my iPhone (easily) to have you lead me from my handbag.

Jaz---SIGH. Yeah, wasn't Anne with an E just the best? If you liked that, I have another series for you, and really anyone. "Last Tango in Halifax" on Netflix. Again, another GREAT story not about our current times, although set in modern times. This is REALLY GOOD. Trust me, one and all. Give it about 20 minutes, or at least the first episode, and you'll be hooked.

Yay you for being 100% on plan!!! Actually, you do really well with the woe. You have your off woe moments, but generally you really stick to it. And on that note, in the recent pix you sent with the littles, I thought you looked thinner---wasn't looking for that at all, it just occurred to me when I saw the photos.

Lori---Sorry about your sister's daughter. As Trig echos in her post, what are ya gonna do? Hope your beloved sis knows she can only do so much---lead horse to water, can't make it drink etc. etc. Still, I'm sure you don't like your sis worrying about it one little bit.

Sounds like you got a good massage today. Had to LOL at your comment that you came home and collapsed and felt like "you were on something." Hey, that's a good result imo, if it means you were "high" on feeling relaxed, chilled and better.

______________________________________________________________

Gads gals, I am busy! Actually, have been on and off for awhile. BC, who I think I'll never hear from again after every job, (being no longer on that long retainer I enjoyed for so many years) has been dropping jobs on me regularly for awhile now.

Then I also have a really fab personal design client who has just been a total joy and once she started with me, she seems to want to go through every room and revision, re-design. She's such a pip, such a lovely woman. Such a different experience from my commercial clients. I would pursue more of this right now, but to say the least, the timing isn't right. But it will be I think, sooner than I expected.

Yay vaccines!!! Are you guys planning on getting one? I understand it's a personal decision, no arguments either way from me, just interested. As for me, I will ABSOLUTELY get one when it's my turn to do so. Yeah, maybe it's a risk, but imo, NOWHERE near the risk of getting the Co-vid for me. People talk about the long time risks of the vaccine, but hey, have y'all looked at the long time effects of the CO-VID? OMG, I read too much. But yeah, I'm going to get that vaccine when it's available.

Y'know, we all got hauled into the doctor's office for all kinds of vaccines we didn't know sh*t from shinola about when we were growing up. And even today---shingles vaccine. Most people get that without looking back.

LOL, one of these fine days I'll talk about how I feel about my woe and food, but not this day.

Lori_:) Tue, Dec-08-20 04:44

Good Morning!

Blue....so happy to wake to a nice, long post from you! It sounds like you are busy, but enjoying it too. All good. Like you, I will get the vaccine when it is available to me. I have gotten the flu vaccine for years with no ill effects. Though I did get the flu anyway one year, but who's to say that it wouldn't have been much worse had I not gotten the vaccine? I want to get the Shingles vaccine too, as I had the chicken pox and as I understand it, the Shingles virus lies in wait and springs up on you later in life. I've had friends with Shingles....a terrible thing.

Trig....you are hitting the road this morning! Woohoo! :yay: I hope you'll be able to keep in touch with us to let us know what you're up to for the next few days. I will be picturing you and DD running around in that lit up golf cart....speaking of lit up....will you be taking some rum along? I hope you have the best time.

Nic....I love how you hand over things for DS18 to handle on his own. Appts. & such....such seemingly trivial things are the basics of life and it is so important to learn to handle. You have set all your kids up for success!

Jaz.....hope you have time to update us on your interviews today. I'm so curious....or is it nosy? ;) I'm just so bored here....I count on you for some excitement! Picturing you on the beach will get me thru the long winter!

---------

Nothing going on today. I hope to get out for a walk later. So excited to have golf on the books for later this week! Mid 40's and into the 50's by Saturday! This is my kind of Winter!

Later!

Whirrlly Tue, Dec-08-20 05:45

Lori, yea rum is coming. Temps in the high 30s is the high and lows are teens so yes I will need liquid courage to even exit the rv!

Yea my tendon on my ankle was like 2 years to heal. It was horrible so your trouble could last a good while but in the end, if we watch it and baby it all, we heal, but dang it can be a doozey while waiting :)

Into the 50s for PA, well that gives me good hope for some good temps down here then!

Nicco, 'adulting himself'....I love reading that term you use. I have to walk my kid there but being 15 she is oh so lazy on any of it.

Magic package fairy and Santa brings it all for everyone right? Laughing about your DH saying that cause he never sees that work that goes into all that buying LOL

Jaz, yea up date on the good interview.

Blue, glad your work is having jobs dropping on ya and keeping you busy. Many of us need busy now going into a long cold winter.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. No party life on it, just a $100 from hubby and kid said happy birthday.....all she can handle is a 1 day shop out with her father to buy me an xmas present HAHA 2 shop trips would kill her I think if she had to go out again for a birthday prez. omg that lazy kid.

finish rv pack today for what little I gotta do and we are heading out later....around 11-11:30. Check in is at 2 for this cg so no use going too soon. 1.5 hr drive and if we go slow and stop to eat etc. then we can drag it out to 2 hrs and hit good on the check in. We know we can get in an hr early from check in times but more than that is pushing on it usually. So got an easy morning today on this trip not to have to rush out the door.

got fire roaring, omg such nice heat!

got alot of my meat packed for trip. feel safe on that.

nothing much doing other than 4 days in the down right fricking' freezer mountains HAHA which I need but am dreading for the cold truly but change of scenery, cold or not is truly needed!!

over and out and be good all

Jaz66 Tue, Dec-08-20 12:00

DOT..... back this afternoon- updates

Need to run out and find a pair of interview heels

-----------------------------------------
updates- I go t super busy today. The fridge in the spare area needs removed so the landlord and his crew here. Add that to having to get some nice black 3 inch heels for an in person interview Thur!!!!!

Sorry- shortie!!!!!!- long one with update personals in am........... all good. Busy!!!Who Me????????- HAHAHAHAH

niccofive Tue, Dec-08-20 20:42

Lori- Really glad your massage went so well yesterday.. sounds like she really worked you over well! You were just shy of needing a cigarette and a nap, huh?

I am excited for you that you will have warm weather and the ability to play golf again, in December no less. It's a Christmas miracle!

Blue- Yup, true, Bs are fine in college, especially if you aren't planning on applying to law school or something like that. If you are, it will limit your options more, but right now he literally has no idea what he wants to do AND for a first semester of college, all online, with virtually no instruction or help, I am pleased with him!

LOL on me in your handbag! BTW how do you like your iPhone? Do you find it useful? What do you use it for? I use mine for texting, obviously, but I use the calendar, Spotify and podcasts daily as well, not to mention just getting general info. I also use it as an alarm clock and timer. Multi purpose tool! I use it least for making phone calls. ;)

I am glad you are so busy! When it rains, it pours, right? It is good that your talents are being used and appreciated. :)

Vaccine- I am split on it. By the time it will be available to me, it will probably be summer and plenty of people will have been vaccinated before me. However, I won't deny being concerned about the potential risk on long term side effects. Putting something in my body that was developed with "warp speed" doesn't exactly inspire confidence! But C19 also has long term side effects as well. So, I just don't know. I don't do the flu vaccine, but I have gotten the shingles vaccine (the first, and will be getting the second once I am out of quarantine.)

Trig- I hope you have SUCH a good time on your trip!! I can't wait to hear an update from you!

Jaz- Wow, an in person interview, huh? Where is it? In Athens?? Surely not! Maybe in Atlanta or something?

Good luck! You always do well in interviews so I expect it will go well.

••••••••••

All is well here in quarantine-land. DS22 is faring well. Eating well, studying for exams, mild symptoms. I had him mask up and take a walk down the court and back. I felt like he needed it for his mental health as well as for his physical health. The hardest part for sure, to me, is just having so little contact with him every day. This is a longer grounding than he has ever had in his life! Speaking of grounding, that was never a thing with me and my kids. If they were grounded at all, it was seldom to their rooms. More like a cessation of social life for a time. We were never big on sending them away from the family.

Made DS22 blueberry muffins and bacon for breakfast, and then he had LO homemade chicken soup and a turkey and cheddar toasted sandwich for lunch. For dinner I made a pot roast with roasted carrots and potatoes.

Menu plan this week: Pot roast (done), roasted chicken quarters with roasted broccoli, breaded pork tenderloin, and beef vegetable soup.

I sucked it up and got ALL the family wrapping done today. About 35 gifts over a two hour period. But now it is complete, except for a couple of odds and ends. And yeah, that sounds like a ton I know, but it breaks down to about 7 things per person Some of the gifts are pretty small, like a book, or useful, like a pack of boxer shorts. It's just fun for everyone to have a little group of things to open.

Stocking stuffers are mostly sorted into bags as well but I need to look over that again and maybe shift a couple of things around. I grab stocking stuff all year and squirrel it away.

My Dad had his PET scan and said it came back clear, so that is wonderful news.

That's about it from here!

Lori_:) Wed, Dec-09-20 04:56

Good Morning!

Nic....loved your post about your Christmas "elf" day and getting so organized for the day. All I have to do is get gift cards and some candy etc for the boys. I'm not even sure when we'll see our family for the holiday. We won't be going to stay overnight at our DD's like usual....everything up in the air and no plans being made. Crazy year.

So happy to hear about your Dad having a clear scan! :yay:

Jaz.....Interview heels! Can't wait to hear all about it. We need details!

Trig....hope your camp site is nice and that you have a good time. I heard something about added Covid restrictions in NC, and am hoping it doesn't impact your trip.

Blue...hope it's a good week for you.

--------

Got out for a walk yesterday. It was chilly, but I was dressed for it and stayed on a sunny route. It was windy....AGAIN!, but it wasn't too bad. Not sure if I'll get out for a walk today or not. I have to do some laundry for Betty, run to the grocery store and then I have a Chiro appt this afternoon. Oh....and make some meatballs for dinner. I'll throw some spaghetti in a pot for DH and I'll just have my meatballs with mushrooms and a bit of Rao's sauce. Yum! :yum:

That's it from here. Have good days!

Whirrlly Wed, Dec-09-20 06:10

OMG SO COLD, SO WTH? STUPID DARN COLD HERE

HELP HELP HELP, I AIN'T GONNA MAKE IT

WIFI here is wonderful.

fast post. cg is nice. campsite is great and we are about 10 ft off the little raging mountain river. very scenic but OMG the wind and cold. I can barely breathe or move....I ain't kidding on this LOL I told hubby never again, ever again a cold rv trip. I have no desire to open that rv door and leave my great rv heat :p :o :D

hardly no one in campground. so quiet.

heading into Banner Elk today to 'sight see' a tad, seems like everything is open around here. Picked up pizza for family last night and restaurant was rocking and everyone wearing masks and all stores in that area were open so......seems like we can have a bit of fun around here goofing off.
Saw a store driving that is called 'Hoodies' and omg kid loves frickin' hoodies so we are gonna shop that today and check it out.

wander around town and see if any good restaurants to come back to later in the evening and see town lit up in xmas lights.

2 days here will go very fast....omg I hope, cause this cold is not a normal cold at all, it is way over the top burning cold I don't like one bit.

and snow all around. snow on the mountaintops and leftover snow around the campsite and SNOW....come on HAHA

check in later guys, be good!!

Jaz66 Wed, Dec-09-20 11:20

Good Almost afternoon!!!!!

Trig- I just CAN'T do cold. How are you managing? I would not want to leave the RV either. No way , no how. Pretty or not. It just seem to be a good fit if you are miserable to leave. Heck You could have stayed home in your back yard. But hey you get a few pic's and the Kid is happy. How is she and hubby handling the weather????

You coming back tomorrow?

Lori- Oh on your niece....... I agree with Blue- you can only give information and then it is up to each person!

How did that massage go for your HS?! Winter is such a rough time with the weather. I find it hard to want to walk!

Yum on the meatballs!!!!

Blue- who would have thought during all this 2020 madness you would be so busy with Big Client! So cool they are tossing jobs your way! Keeps your fingers in the pot and change in your pocket!!!!

What ever happened with your writing? Are you finished or taking a pause?

Def going to check out "Last Tango in Halifax" on Netflix. I did love Anne with an E! They sure cast that girl right on!
Doing any reading lately?

NIC- I am sure happy to hear your "patient" is doing well. I agree that getting out for a walk if able was a good idea! You are sure a great momma bear. Still fingers crossed you all get spared!

Can you place come and shop for me- wrap- and get it done?!?!?
I am getting a bit panicked I sent everything back. More below!

How is your day to day going? Are you having to do extra cooking and cleaning? Is your hubby working from home? Everyone still getting along?
I'm teasing!!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------
So whew ........... catching my breath here.

Job- I had 2 interviews this week.
1.) - Work from home, they told me that they don't hire RN for their case management dept. They hire MA- Nurse assistances so they can pay them 9 bucks an hour. She said as a RN, BSN, and into a doctorate I was over qualified. She said she was only doing the interview because my Aunt is friends with the head director. Bottom line- we talked about wether and my dog.

2.) Interview with a company I applied to months ago. Position is for a Clinical Director for a Home Health care company. They ARE interested. Had another interview via Zoom as well. Now they want a "final" interview in person.

Pro's- It's job that pays what I would EXPECT with Insurance/ It is a job that would be similar to my supervisory job with the insurance company- so there would be no surprises. / I know it is a job I could easily do.

Con's- It is an office as well as field position. I would have to supervise employees in the homes of patients in the field. I would be exposed to tons of sick patients, and would have to quarantine from my family.
I could not go house to house and see sick patients and hang out with my kids.
I really wanted a remote job.
I would be back in Atlanta- don't want to go
I would have to MOVE back to Atlanta- urghhhhhhhh for SO many reasons.
I was told it may be acquired by another company in a few months. = maybe not a perm job. But if I lost my job due to a buy out, not my fault.
Not sure about stability of company.
Back to the headache of dealing with payroll, employees, budgets, chart checks, and basically if something goes wrong in the home- the buck would stop with me.

I think I am talking myself right out of this position. I am supposed to go tomorrow. Maybe I will just go and thank about it. Hear what they have to say.
I will keep the cute black ankle boots I bought either way!!!
Will keep ya'll posted.

Cold as crap here. I rarely get out of PJ unless I just have to. I shower up and put on a fresh pair. I have like 6 pair now of jammies. I am obsessed with fun lounge ware. They have come out with some super cute ones.
I have stopped doing my hair or make up. I wash my face- pop on some moisture lotion and pile my hair in sloppy bun on top of my head.

The day after my Zoom meeting- I face timed my son. He said OMG mom- what did you do to your hair?
Ummmm Washed it and blowed it dry, and curled it- We both howled laughing.

WOE- mostly 99.5%. I am really good about keeping carbs low. I am now, Playing in a chat room at night and find myself eating again late.
IE.... Made a turkey/salami roll up at midnight- then had another.
Need to reel in late night eating. Even if it is ZERO carbs it is a stall.

....other stuff..........
So I have a tip that things are going to really get a bit nuts this weekend. Not to go into huge detail- but we could be back to riots in the cities again.
This election is not over technically. Ga is STILL undeclared. Ya- we don't know how to count here!!!!!
Tx has filed a suit against 5 states to overturn the ballots, it may hit the Supreme Court. There is some law that if States are unclear they have to step in.

I do not see all of this as positive. It is worrisome. Things are just starting to calm down. I am ready to put this election behind us. Ga still has MORE voting to do. It is sorta crazy here.
I normally do not bring up politic- this is not the place. But when it gets crazy for people to leave their house- that is the issue!!!
I hope what I heard - blows over. It is just here in GA- everyone is still riled up.
OK- off that soapbox

COLD and sunny here. I am going to force myself out for 20 minutes in a WINTER coat. I am going to take the pooch with me.
I need to make appt. to get her nails grind again. They grow like weeds!

Still enjoying my peppermint coffee, but will be ready for a new flavor!

Ok- back later-
Be well, be healthy-

Lori_:) Wed, Dec-09-20 11:50

Jaz.....you do have some decisions to make about the job. It sounds like a LOT of cons to me. Only you know what you're willing to expose yourself to in these times. Nice you got cute shoes out of it anyway! ;)

Trig.....OMG the cold! I hope the town is cute and that you have fun looking at lights etc. and that you find some good food. It is cold here today too. We had a pretty heavy snow shower a while ago. Hard to believe that I'm planning to play golf tomorrow!

I just got my Pulse Oximeter in the mail from Amazon. All good so far. I thought it wouldn't hurt to have one on hand, though I sure hope we don't get the "thing" and have to worry about the numbers.

Just about time for my Chiro appt. Takes me about 15 minutes to get there...easy. Later!

niccofive Wed, Dec-09-20 12:09

Hello everyone!

Trig- I know you will take it in the manner intended but I was laughing at you while reading your post. You went to SNOW? YOU???   You definitely love your daughter and you were definitely stir crazy to do those things!

Still, enjoy the lights, walk around.. it's good to get away. And it is nice to be glad to get home again bc you actually got to leave!

Lori- Meatballs with mushrooms sounds DELISH!! I have had meatballs SO MANY TIMES and it has never occurred to me to add meatballs. I will have to do that in the future!

I need to get out for a walk too. It's cold and cloudy today but tomorrow starts a warming trend.

Jaz- Yeah that job doesn't sound like a great fit for you- sort of more of the same from the last thing you did. Still, an interview never hurts, I guess.

I haven't been dressed in clothes in DAYS AND DAYS. I mean, I did put on something to walking in but it was just a pair of sweats. Didn't even put a bra on bc I had a coat on! ;) Talk about hibernation!

Interesting about Georgia. Things are so settled here in that area that it didn't really occur to me that things were still up in the air somewhere. But Athens is far enough out, right? Do you get out and about there or do anything in Athens itself?

How is your son liking his new house? HOW IS YOUR EX DOING? AND HIS WIFE??

••••••••••••••

No news is good news as far as the kid goes. I think we are pretty settled at this point, fingers crossed.

Each day is more or less the same, but not in a bad way. I am a homebody so not really losing it, ya know? I clean the kitchen daily, do some other random cleaning, some cooking, watch some Netflix or Hulu.. that kind of thing. Puttering but in a good way. I've been averaging 6-8K steps daily so I must be doing something!

Haven't been eating very clean the last couple of days. I was doing so well, then when doing the wrapping yesterday I came across a bonus jar of Cookie Butter which wasn't going to anyone in particular.. and yeah...

DS18 took his math final exam yesterday (first class of college complete!) and has two more this week and then he is finished! He took a short-acting dose of his ADHD meds for his test and was talking away. It makes him very focused but also more of a conversationalist than usual!

That's about it from here. I think I will clean the half bath, do some laundry and do the beef vegetable soup. Just putter some more!

Jaz66 Wed, Dec-09-20 18:19

Hey Ladies- Back!

Nic- So glad to hear things are going well and no new outbreak. Seems like you all go this and it will pass!!! Knocking on some wood!
Dam your house must be HUGE to get in 6-8k doing house work and puttering. You can get your work out at home!!!!

Love some good soup!!!!! Enjoy!!!! - Thumbs up on staying healthy!!!!

Blue- awaiting updates......
-------------------------------------------
So I went back and re-read the description of this job I was going to interview for. tomorrow. It was a 24/on call- doing in home patient care as well.
Then I read the reviews for current and past employees. Revolving door. They are hiring ALL positions. Nope and NOPE -

I wrote them a really nice thanks away. The reviews were 1.5 out of 5. They just can't people. The lady sorta eluded to that when we spoke, but she framed it in- restructuring. Yea...... heard that.

I can't just see my tossing St. Simon out (already paid for) and moving $$$$ To a city I don't want to go back to. Then getting called at 3 am because a staff person was a no show and driving through Atlanta-
OH HELLO NO.
Not sure why I even applied. I think it was the day I applied for Anything and everything and well...... forgot about it.

So........ Not for me and I feel GREAT about it. I am really listening to my gut these days about alot of stuff!
Being alone, and now not going "out" I have had some time to process 2020.
It hasn't been all bad. There has been some sunrises in the mix of storms. Just a bit harder to see!
I am BLESSED to be able to have this time. Not everyone can. I don't take it for granted!

I am keeping these cute booties - like I would need them..... HAHAHAH- I don't get out of pj's these days. I truly when I say am ADDICTED cute lounge ware now. The softer the better!!!!!!! Almost insulting to have to do my hair- that is why all the "old ladies" wore bun. These days we pile it on top in a "messy" bun. And don't give a rip.

So I have a huge wall, large flat screen TV in this place. I found it has a You tube App I can use.
So I plugged in the "Christmas Fireplace" - It plays for 7 hours of instrumental Christmas music to a warm fireplace, complete with
crackling logs. Whoever came up with that made a MINT!!!!!!!

WOE- on point! Walk in!
Was 61 here today! Will be same through Sat. Want to move more, before weather.

I feel good about today.
At the end of the day we all make choices. If has to feel right.

Ok ladies!!!!!!!!
XOXOXOX

Lori_:) Thu, Dec-10-20 07:12

Good Morning!

Wondering if Trig is frozen in her RV? Sure hope the heat stayed on Trig! How was downtown? Nice lights display? When are you heading home?

Jaz.....seems like you made the right decision about the job. I think I'd rather be a cashier at Piggly Wiggly than go door to door in Atlanta seeing sick patients. Besides, you have a few months at the beach to look forward to! :yay:

Nic....hope your family continues to be well. Nice that DS22 could get out for some fresh air...always a good thing. My meatballs over mushrooms was SO good. It would have been better with fresh sauteed mushrooms, but I just used canned slices.

-------

DH is out hunting and I'm just trying to warm up. Hard to believe that I'm heading out to play golf later this morning. Nuts! I think it will be in the upper 40's if the sun ever comes out. Seems a bit cloudy....not ideal. We may get to play Friday & Saturday too as it's supposed to be near 50 or so the next couple days. I sort of expect my friends to cancel for today.....we'll see.

Later!

niccofive Thu, Dec-10-20 08:56

Jaz- It's a good perspective to realize that yes, you are lucky to have had this time! A long time off work, discovering that you can play on Wall Street to make ends meet and just have a nice time of rest and recovery, plus being able to be more choosy about your next steps. Beach living for months! In that way 2020 has actually been good for you and it is carrying on into 2021.

My house is a pretty average single family home size. Just a four bedroom colonial- LR/DR front, kitchen and family room back, 4 bedrooms upstairs type of house. No extra rooms. Just moving around in it a lot lately, up and down the stairs a bunch etc.

Lori- mornings are definitely cold but should warm up, right? We are hitting 51 today and sunny. I definitely want to take a walk today!

I hope your golf goes on as planned.

Trig- I hope you are having a marvelous time, even if cold.
Hiya, Blue!

•••••••••••

No idea what I will do today. I'm sure there are things I could be doing but the laundry is done, Christmas stuff is done for now, etc. I could write my DONA essay. Yeah, I guess I'll do that. It needs to just be closed out, even though that business is on hold for now. Plus I can wrap the gifts that need to be mailed out when I get sprung on the 13th. Yeah, okay.. I'll do those things plus make dinner and feed the boy his meals, take a walk.. that should fill the day well enough.

Speaking of, the boy continues to do well. I feel more relaxed now as at this point I don't think anything else is going to come up for him, we just need to finish waiting it out. He has an exam at 12:30 and then works from 2-5 today so his time in his room will pass more quickly. DS18 *I think* is finished with his exams now! I know he had taken two and had one more to go- either he took it last night or it is today. He got an A on his Psych exam, not sure about his math although he said he felt like it went well.

DH is hard at work moving into another arbitration in January. He has had a stellar work year though. Proud of him!

That's about it from here!

Whirrlly Thu, Dec-10-20 09:27

Nicco glad you Dad got a good clear scan!!

happy all are doing well and yea so many people that isn't truly alot of gifts but ya got them done! I am cold. Downtown Banner Elk a DUD SPUD.....omg so small. more real estate biz than anything else. 2 restaurants, one seems nice for tonight, gonna check it out. Stone Walls with prime rib so :)

the 'metal elk statute' that is so in every pic is SMALLer than one would think and just stuck on the road and I thought, you know, bigger type park area and all but nope, pics are deceiving on this little drab town. ski resorts take precedence here but town, flop.....but some will light up a bit I hope when we eat out tonight and hope to get some nice lights in town?
not what I was thinking at all.

river and campsite great, IN summer it would be fab LOL

will get a pic for ya'll

even dog is cold HAHA

hubby gonna trout fish a bit in the trout pond, he wants a few gutted for home....like stocked pond, shooting fish in a barrel fishing but hey he wants to do it....only $7 per lb when caught and then $1 to gut and bag.....nice for fresh trout. we shall see how that goes.

gonna cook some steaks on the grill now....starving. hope that rat grill gives me some crispy char, I hate this grill LOL but hubby wants to do them outside so I will eat some whatever meat he grills...ugh LOL

over and out and be good
