Am I a food combiner???
Hi everyone. I am trying to figure out what program I most fit in with. So far it appears I am a food combiner but was wondering if I am doing a specific program and if so which it would be...so here is what I do:
You can eat Pro/Fats with Veggies You can eat Carbs and Veggies(no fat) You can eat any of the food groups on their own You eat fruits but always either add fiber or a lean non-fat protein to slow the insulin spike. Eliminate all Fake Foods and overly processed foods like aspartame, Splenda, white flour, white sugar Basically if I eat a sugar/starch it has to be natural and never add a fat to it the reverse is true as well...if I eat fat then no sugar/starch sugars and starches have to be natural...ie fruit, non-fat milk, beans I only eat the starchier natural carbs every 4th or 5th day. I allow myself 2 free days a month to eat whatever I want...so every other Saturday and THEN only one meal and within one hour. I don't count green non-starchy veges as carbs...they are free foods. I take suppliments and drink water. Oils and nuts are good in modest amounts and are counted as fats. So, do I fit in as a food combiner? Does my routine match anyone's program or come close??? If so, which program am I closest too??? PS I'm ok with dairy but am trying to avoid it for 2 weeks to see if allergies get better and I try not to eat cheese since it is so salty. Dairy, if I eat it, would be non-fat milk for protein shakes, whey in protein powder, yogurt or cottage cheese. But I am trying to avoid it. |
