I'm going through this thread from the beginning - on page 3 or 4 so far.

Does gelatin have to be dissolved in hot liquid in order to be absorbed? We've been putting it in our cold morning smoothies which is so much easier but if we need to heat it first, we can start doing that.

Sharon, I was going to recommend collagen hydrolysate if you want to add the gelatin directly to cold liquids without dissolving it first. Looks like you already figured that out.

You might want to check out the Kate Deering Fitness page on Facebook. She is a “Ray Peat approved” fitness and nutrition coach. She posts “Ray Peat friendly” recipes and health information on her page.

Ray gives us the science but Kate helps people understand how to put that knowledge into a practical application in every day life. That is what we had in mind when we started this thread many years ago but now Facebook is the place to go for the most up-to-date information.
