Support from teens/anyone? (:

Hi There, I just started Atkins/Low-Carb Diet. I'm 13, and a girl. I've always been overweight from birth. Now that I'm going into High School, Good by weight! I weigh 170 and 5'2. Oh my goodness.
By school I want to atleast have 20 pounds down. But from there my goal is 115-120 atleast! It'll be great if I could have some, help, or just encouragement. Thanks to all. :hyper:

Hi Brittany,

I'm not a teen but the mom of three of them. My girls are 16 and 14 and have lowcarbed for the most part 3 years now. My son is 17 and he does when he can't fit into his clothes comfortably. Lucky for him he just has to pretty much say outloud that he is going low carb and he loses about 7lbs right off the bat. Lucky stinker, lol. My oldest girl she is very good about staying lowcarb and although hasn't a weight problem she gets stomach cramps from wheat and too much dairy. My youngest girl well she really struggles to loss weight. I don't know how much she is currently but you can tell even if she isn't losing that she looks leaner in her face overall from not eating the carbs. She is invited to sleepovers all the time and finds it hard to stick to it but tries her best. She says the best thing about coming home is 1)seeing her cat and 2)eating real food again. She pretty much realizes that junk food makes her ill.

Anyhow good luck.
