Day Nine: Strength Training
20 reps each of:
Chest Press Triceps Extension Curl Shoulder Press Upright Row Squat Standing Calf Raise Plus I spent the better part of the day at the local pool with the kiddos. I was already kind of sore before exercising tonight, even though I don't feel as though I was doing anything overly strenuous. We'll see how I feel in the morning! |
Day Ten: HIIT Cardio

Could have gone another five minutes, I think, but my muscles (legs and abs in particular) were already screaming at me. I guess I had more exercise in the pool on Sunday than I had originally thought. Cool! :cool: |

Up last night until 2am to make deadline - no exercise

Crunch - 20 reps
Lying Leg Raise - 10 reps (ouch!!!) Standing Hip Abduction - 40 reps (20L, 20R) Lunge - 20 reps (10L, 10R) Seated Leg Curl - 20 reps Squat - 20 reps Standing Calf Raise - 20 reps Whoa, I was sure using some muscles that I haven't pushed in quite a long time! |
Day Fifteen: HIIT cardio
25 minutes on the Gazelle - felt GREAT!!! My highest point was the highest I've hit since starting. :cool:

Was supposed to do upper body strength training this day, but we took an impromptu day trip to Louisville and didn't get home until very late. Boo!

Day Twenty One: HIIT Cardio
20 minutes on the Gazelle
Tomorrow I think I will try to do some more cardio after my resistance training. I read online that the body can lose fat 2-3 times more easily during cardio if you've done resistance training beforehand. If I can manage resistance and cardio back to back, I may increase my cardio to six days while keeping the three days of resistance trainining. |
