I noticed on the lowcarb luxury site they use arrowroot a lot in their recipies. Are there limits to arrowroot or is it a good thickener to use?

Do you mean are there limits to how much can be consumed? There are 7 grams of carbs in a Tbsp. of arrowroot and negligible fiber. It has the same thickening properties as cornstarch.
