At least here in Eugene anyone can shop at Cash & Carry. However, you can only write a check if it's a business check. Otherwise, you have to use cash or debit/credit.

The friend who told me about it lives in Keizer but I bet it is the one on Broadway (it goes straight out to Keizer). I haven't been there yet ... I hear it is spendy. I missed the tasting at Salem Health foods. However, I was in there last week and bought pork rinds dusted with cinnamon ... most delish ...

Cash & Carry on Salem Industrial Dr. is open to the public (no membership), I get all my DaVinci/Torani syrups there (They get more new flavors all the time. My new favorite latte flavor is german chocolate cake)

Thanks for the info, Skyangel...that makes sense...it probably is the same store...

BTW...I bought those sweet cinnamon butter pork rinds last weekend (my second time...) and they ARE really wonderful! They also have some cheese flavored ones, and I told my boss (who is diabetic) and she thought they might be better. I don't know...those cinnamon ones are awfully good!!

you can find them (cinnimon pork rinds) online, i use netrition.com, or they have been at some of the low-carb stores.

Oh! Guess What?! I heard on the radio just today that ALBANY now has a low carb store...It's called Daily Low Carb...and it's downtown, on 2nd Avenue. I don't know how big the place is...but last month I visited a sports nutrition place that advertised a tiny section of low carb products...and I suspect that it's the same place, but with a new name...and a new emphasis, with a bigger inventory of low carb foods. Check it out if you get to downtown Albany, OR. I plan to do so, and report back....

Default hey guys

Flyrite here!

I posted this in it's own thread but thought i might let everyone know about a new lo carb food store in NE Portland.

Low Carb Food Centers
2735 NE Broadway

it's over by the Hollywood Fred Meyers.

Now a lot of their stuff like all the other lo carb stores is really expensive but they do have a lot of stuff and they seem to be sugar alcohol conscious; meaning they post signs on certain things touting no sugar alcohols.

AND they have a soft serve ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!! which is sweetned with SPLENDA!!!!!!! I actually made the checker check to see if there was any sugar alcohols and she said sorbitol is the last ingredient on the ingredient list which means there ain't much in there and she said she's pretty sensitive to it and the ice cream doesn't give her any troubles. Had a free sample and it was damn good. i had to get a pint.

AND they have the CINNAMON/BUTTER PORK RINDS and the CHEESE PORK RINDS.

AND a huge selection of DAVINCI SF SYRUPS!!!!! and a ton of other stuff i've never seen before.

YAHOO!!!!

can you tell that i'm excited?
anyways i thought i would let you all know...
