Thanks yOu, I was hungry yesterday, so my calories and carbs were up, but still within my goals. I’m kinda proud of not going past my goal parameters.
I read a book, called target. 100 a while back, it sets goals for additions to your lifestyle, activity, movement, extra sleep, water, carbs, stress relief to add to your day. The carb is 100 total a day, I switched from net to total carbs ( made me stop trying to cheat the system, nuts have a lot of fibre but also a lot of calories). I normally eat 20-40 total carbs a day, yesterday, 55. Nothing terrible happened other than I did not lose weight.
I am desperately trying to find a lifestyle that I can live with permanently instead of making it all about the number on the scale I want to make it all about being sustainable. Being part of this 5 pound challenge is fun though I enjoy the camaraderie.

I had fallen off plan LAST Weekend but now I have been on two full days and I am ALMOST BACK TO WHERE I WAS BEFORE i fell off.
I have 1.8 lbs to lose to get back to 167 and I am determined to keep this weight off this time and get to my goal weight of 128!

Scotia I agree, it’s got to be a lifestyle not a diet to work. I’m tracking for a bit to get into the groove again...I count all carbs as carbs but record the net carbs for fun. The FDA doesn’t recognize “net carbs” as an actual term anyway and yes it’s a tool to cheat the system. I have a routine now and eat a lot of the same foods, I switch up the meats depending on my job as a food photographer/chef and what I need to shoot.

Entropy I have the utmost faith in your determination! Get it girl!

Anyone who hasn’t chimed in that’s cool too...go team!

There are numbers when I initially gain weight that I get stuck on. Some call them set points. You know those numbers, that you look at every day and keep eating more and think oh I can eat this way and stay this weight, then the scale starts moving up again. Well at least it was that way for me. My highest was 192 and my lowest was 160 (on my last weight loss voyage).
So 167 and 164 are those numbers and getting below 160 usually meant not eating or exercising “properly” aka in a healthy, sustainable way. So I’m at that 164, gonna stay the course, make healthy choices and it may be a slow haul now, BUT I am so happy to be with you all. We Got This....

Last night I wanted a cocktail really bad after eating some keto carrot cake but I’m doing a sober January. Today is a big workout day so I’m hoping to see a little more weight loss tomorrow but who knows. If I can get into the 220’s in February I’ll be pretty damn happy. LowJax you are leading the team...good job buddy!

Before this challenge I had been off plan and today I was 167.8 so I am almost at 167.0 which is where I was before I had went off plan. I went back on plan a few days ago I think Thursday so I have Been losing weight that was regained but want to use this challenge as a way to recharge myself and I’m thrilled I”m in it. It is keeping me in control knowing that I am following something and have a goal. 162. The idea I only have to lose 5 lbs is so much more Do-able than thinking I have to lose 39 lbs. yikes. Hugs to all!!!!

Entropy I think that’s wonderful you are back on plan and that we can all support each other. I need this too. At the beginning of last year I was going to a gym 3 or 4 days a week with a friend and had gotten down to 215, and then gyms closed which still are in my area. I gained 33 pounds. I lost my full time job and now I’m at home all day. My workout buddy won’t work out at home like I’m doing so it’s just me, and I’m immunocompromised so I can’t be around people much. So this challenge is perfect for me. Hope everyone else is rockin it. Let’s Get This Done! P.S. I may or may not have celebratory cocktails tonight after completing sober January

No change in weight for me today

I was 167.4 today not I am not counting my weight loss for this challenge until I am below 167 !!!

I had a planned evening of cocktails after completing Sober January (I did drink one day after a very riotous event) so of course I gained 1.4#
And now I’m back to my regularly scheduled program
