Not sure about a star Robyn but it was on the T.V. (whatever that is...) It was a pretty fun day guys, the snow conditions were good and temp was in the 20's - that's perfect as you really don't want to get to the 30's as the snow starts to melt and get really s.l.o.w.

Right time, right place - plus a call for all snowkiters to come out ha and get some footage.

And ya, Meme, there were a lot of black snowpants out there but here's me one from the front and one from the back.

Never ending fun rides

My gym is the great outdoors and I've been leaving a lot of sweat there that last month (January) And am starting this month off solid. My body needs a rest as almost everything hurts Might be a couple rest days this week, wind down a bit. Snowboarding is always the go-to on the weekends.

Date - Kx - Nc - Lbs - Act
0131 - 37 - 30 - 233 - KiteSnowboard-5
0201 - 28 - 22 - 232 - KiteSnowboarding-5

Only picture taken was of a new friend I sold and old kite to. He's stoked! Goodbye North Rhino 12M, Hello $75

Just curious... Can you tack upwind while kite snowboarding? Or do you have a long walk back at the end of a run? That looks so cool (and cold).

Thanks for stopping by and checking kiting out Zoogirl, Meme and Ken!

Ken, I'd say you can get upwind angles even better than a longboard with dagger board down. It's amazing. So you can kite around all day and not have to walk back up wind. For me lately the most fun I'm having in soft snow is going far up wind and doing "downwinders" feels kind of like water skiing

Here's a picture a friend took crossing his tracks as he's going up wind with skies - probably not really even trying - All The Snow Are Belong To Us

More kite sessions and perhaps if I get lucky I'll get out again today. Tomorrow I have some after work stuff to do that will preclude kiting of any kind and plan on getting a skate session in at a local rink between work and evening meeting, keeping the activity streak alive this month.

Some pictures to remember last couple of days...

Meanwhile back at the BatCave...

Another good weekend of fun out door activity. Was able to get a friend up and riding back and forth on snowboard and kite yesterday. I'd like to think that I'm a decent teacher but it helps to have an exceptional student - no pics of that, too busy having fun riding and instructing.

Since we last left the island, daily reporting...

I need a day off. That's what I told my friend after kiteboarding session yesterday afternoon haha! If it blows and theres snows, we goes...

KX=Ketonix, NC=Net Carb, LBS=English Pounds, Act=(Type-Intensity[1-10])

Date - Kx - Nc - Lbs - Act
0215 - 56 - 31 - 228 - KiteSnowboard-5
0216 - 64 - 25 - 223 - IceSkate-4
0217 - 66 - 30 - 223 - Snowboard,KiteSnowboard-8
0218 - 30 - 49 - 224 - KiteSnowboard-6
0219 - 60 - 03 - 224 -

I was just altered to another local story they were doing on kiteboarding in the winter here. It's a pretty visual sport but you have to be near a lake to notice it so I think it will always be nitch, like dog sledding or something

Link to news story:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJV4Y-Nrl-w

And a fun session on Saturday just snowboarding before the crowd arrived. That's when we head out and start kiting!

...and there will be more of this soon, getting closer on finalizing specs for new Windsurf/SUP/Foilboard - #STOKED

Wow! Thanks for sharing those stories. Looks like a good time. I especially liked the guy getting some air. Do you do that? I get a split second of that when I do the jumps skating.
