The first of the month I started taking bile salt (very small dose) and a digestive enzyme in the middle of a meal containing fat as I have no gallbladder and am severely deficient in Vit D3 and been unable to improve my numbers over the past 3 years despite taking 10,000 iu's a day. Everything I read said my body needs help with bile to properly absorb the fat soluble vitamins. Made sense. Well, they made me feel sick, stomach upset, crampy, etc, and the scale began to rise. So on the 6th, I stopped them and now the scale is coming back down.
Is there anyone here that has no gallbladder that has tried/or is taking the bile salt and digestive enzymes to aid in digestion of fats? Curious what your experience might have been.
