Is this possible? Go to bed really hungry and wake up not hungry?

We have billions of billions of genetic codes passing down from the first life form on earth with first gene. We only understand 0.001% of the functions of our body.

It was a carb day yesterday. I ate couple pears and apple. Was playing Skyrim SE and hungry last night. Went to bed hungry and tired.
Wake up this morning energetic and not hungry.
I called it "don't know what happened day."
Some days I drink water only to last this unknown as long as possible.
Some days I drink tea or coffee and break this unknown.

My guess is either I am burning fat or burning some dark amgic energy.

Dr Fung explains it that hunger comes and goes in waves... it does not build. Ghrelin cycles, the hunger hormone, will increase around lunch and dinner if you normally eat those meals. If you normally are not a breakfast eater or not hungry when you wake, then even if you fasted the day before, you will not be hungry or "more hungry" when you wake. This is all assuming you are fat-adapted and your body can switch to burning stored fat, but a myth about fasting is that hunger will somehow get "worse", but the opposite happens.
The interesting patterns of ghrelin cycles in this post, a graphic explanation of what happens to hunger in an extended fast. https://intensivedietarymanagement....lin-fasting-29/

Do that almost every night. If you eat before bedtime you may be eating your progress. Sometimes get hungry in the mornings, but I try to ignore it unless it does not go away.

BTW: plain black Tea, or even iced tea, always causes me hunger pangs if I am fasted -- coffee, even black does not. I read somewhere that tea can lower BG like insulin does? Also read carbonated mineral water is more satiating than tap water.

I don't think our stomachs shrink after skipping a meal or two, but our appetite shrinks.

I'm in the " if I eat something I'm hungrier than if I don't eat at all" category. Doesn't sound right, but it is so true!
