She might be filled with useful knowledge but she just didn't convey it in this talk.

Grace Lui has her contacts in the Paleo world, if you're really interested she's been interviewed on Robb Wolf, Dave Aspry, etc. She's into resistant starch and probiotics, and got into details on those podcasts that I tuned out. Just not convinced that feeding your unknown and ever changing microbiome one type of refined starch is a great idea. Her treatment is likely more complicated than that, but I just didn't pay attention back then.

I need to binge watch today...and listen to Dom ...yet again. Think he lost me in the introduction overview first slide

She seems to have decided that resistant starch is not the way to go. I'm not sure I am that interested because I have the same sense that there is just not enough known about the microbiome to be basing entire treatment plans on manipulating it.

Funny about Dom. I gave up on him the first time I started to watch the interview and thought I would try again today.

I hear you about Dom, I had to watch in smaller chunks over a longer period of time. Definitely a marathon! There is some good information about energy, brain health, and general living with a ketone energy source. I'm not sure I'd ever be interested in exogenous ketones, as I'm of the opinion that if you can make them with your metabolism, then you're getting the correct dosage benefits. Everyone wants to put things in a package or bottle to sell them to those who think that something good requires a mega-dose for an edge!

Old conversation, but the exogenous ketones--I could see using these for somebody who needed to be on a very strict ketogenic diet, 3:1 or 4:1, at that point you're trying to just barely get in your protein requirement, if exogenous ketones allowed even a bit higher protein intake, that could improve the general nutritional content of the diet quite a bit.

Thanks for the heads up on the keto summit, I think I was busy putting up drywall in my sister's internet-deficient farmhouse last time it was on.
