Sugar binge averted and abstinence maintained.

Good choice, Lee!!
It's hard to fight with yourself, I know. But the wise choice you made is going to give you a very good week.

Hi Judy,

I would like to join right away.
After my vacation I really had a hard time getting back to my plan...
upcoming stress situations gave me more "good" excuses to postpone being strong again...
uuaaargh... shouldn't have paused in the first place...

"90 days" sounds like a great idea.

I won't be able to post daily, but I could keep track on my phone,
and report at least once a week... would that be okay?

How do we count? One up for each succesful day is obvious.
What if we fail? (not that I plan to...)
Is that just a stop, or do I start over at Day one?

Greetings from Gwabyn

Welcome Gwabyn!
The point is to count consecutive days of consistent on plan eating. Getting to 90 days is huge!
If you go off, then you start counting all over again with day 1.
Do try to make an effort to report daily. This is about being accountable.

Whatever works best for you. If you are 15 days in, why not start with that?

In my experience, they key to longevity is finding lots of foods to eat that you can live with for the long term, not just for weight loss.

Oh most definitely, I used to make all kinds of good stuff, I will go thru the menu / recipe boards again. I hate that my computer where I had saved all my faves crashed and burned. I should have backed it up! Ah the lessons we learn some are more painful than others!

This challenge is a great idea Judy. Getting through the first 90 days ON PLAN was key for me. I'd never done that before now, so I never experienced the full potential of this way of eating. It does not have to be such a struggle.

The hardest part for me to overcome was the mind game I would play with myself as I contemplated eating something off plan. In my mind, there were lots of good reasons to cheat -- I just had to find the right one so that I could give myself permission to take a bite. If you ponder your options long enough, you always seem to find a justification that works. I just had to stop playing that game. If tempted, I tell myself that I don't cheat anymore -- there is no good excuse. Then I try not to dwell on it. It helps to plan ahead and make sure you always have some on-plan food ready at a moments notice.

I'm at day 266 on plan, but I'm tempted to eat a Tic-Tac so I can start my count over and join this challenge. You know I can't, because I don't cheat anymore. Still, I've never made it through the holidays and stayed on a diet plan. I am both looking forward to it and concerned about it. I do want to stay accountable. I want this to be the first holiday season where I do stay 100% on plan. I know it can be done.

I will follow this thread and cheer on everybody that has taken on this challenge. I want to see you all make it through. You can do this. Just take it one day at a time.

you are an inspiration and you have come very far!!!!! WE all appreciate the support one simply can't have enough!!!!

I wish you best of luck on your journey forward.

Holidays….oy…..I already told my husband that while we are having Turkey day at home and I will cook for his family coming from Ohio, I personally will prepare some dishes that they are welcome to eat, but fixed the LC way like sweet taters, mashed cauliflower instead of taters. I did promise him I would make them the traditional ones but they will be going to their hotel or cooler and won't live in my fridge

WE can and we will do the Holidays……without failing the plan!!!!

This is soooo true! I've played this game more times than I could count.

I know we'll all appreciate all the support and advice you can spare

I am finishing my first 90 days but started this one too! Double protection for my journey on through the holidays!! I feel very good about this and am glad to have a group to be in as support!
My friends keep asking me are you still on that challenge?? I think they really enjoy me being on it as they eat my rolls or bread with no problem! It is ok as I really don't want it as much as I want to be under 200!
