This whole cholesterol thing is driving me nuts. Can someone please show me some proof, not only that sat fats cause high cholesterol, but that high cholesterol (big and fluffy or small and slippery) causes ANY health issues at all - even heart problems???

I know Jo, it is hard to deal with.

The trouble is, they take it as already proven. There is no wiggle room. If you ask them to give you data, they look at you as if you are insane/fringe/lunatic. Really. And I went armed with science and am knowledgeable about the studies.

It really is like religion. You either believe, or you don't. There's no discussion allowed. Makes me sorry for those who went up against Ancel Keys and the cholesterol hypothesis early on and had their careers derailed.

You'd think the way they carry on; "this cholesterol, that cholesterol, statins, clogged arteries, nasty sat fat....." that they'd have a wealth of studies and research material to blow our skepticism away!!!!! Thats what I want to see!

.... I found his http://www.pcrm.org/health/health-t...d-heart-disease Not really a conclusive study, not even a good correlation. We'll not even mention their slant towards veganism lol
