It was like my bowel contained cement so yes it's a probelm, this has happened every time I've gone on a plan (and I don't eat much in the way of grains etc. as I'm celiac)

A bm took 25 minutes and if it wasn't for all the coconut oil I eat, the toilet would be full of blood. It can't be like this.

Have you tried using a glycerine suppository to loosen things up?

Drinking a cup of broth with a pat of butter in it helps me out. Also I remember you saying you're drinking lots but if I drink a little more than lots I finally get some movement.

Also cooked cabbage helps me out some.

Carbs do have an intestine-twitching laxative effect, for sure. And it isn't easy to get off a laxative habit, that's for sure too. Lots of good suggestions here, you just have to figure out what works best for your body.

Funny, I've been eating even more coconut oil these past few days, and finally had the time to get over to the next town to buy CALM (magnesium) and then came home only to have the runs (mayve it works by proxy !)!

The dam broke (so to speak) yesterday so maybe I'll wait on taking the magnesium.

Thanks for all your help everyone , I couldn't go on like I was!
