Hi guys!! I too am starting the LC for the 2nd time around.

I did it last in '01 and just realized it was time for a change!!! I'm so tired of carrying around this extra 100lbs!!!

I started May 28 and have lost 9 pounds...haven't lost any in the last couple days but I'm going to stick too it and keep on doing as I am, I know that scale will budge!!!!

Almost caved today...my coworkers were eating huge Whopper burgers today for lunch and those were my FAV!!!!
Stuck with some celery with ranch, summer sausage and some cheese...

Happy loosing!!!!!

You can still eat a Whopper. Order it no bun and no ketchup

Hi Krissy,

I think your ticker looks fine! Great job on not getting the bun, but I was thinking the same, just remove the bun the burger and condiments plus the cheese are okay, or you could ask them to wrap the burger in lettuce, some fast food places will do that for you!

Thanks Tulips!! =) I think tomorrow...I'm going to have a bunless burger!! =) it was really hard for me to not eat bread the first few days I started..ohhh how I wanted a bologna sandwich!! But, Ive got to stick to it...I don't want to be a diabetic and I want to be more involved with my kids. I don't want to be watching them play outside while I sit in a chair complaining about how hot it is!!!

You'll be surprised at the number of ways you can subtract and substitute to keep things semi-normalish.
I love chili but always ate it with a full bowl of crackers. I learned that soggy cabbage has about the same texture as soggy crackers. So chili now involves a head of cabbage cooked in.
Zucchini and shredded carrots make great pasta subs for meatballs and no-sugar sauce.
Meatloaf can be made without added grains.
The recipe section here has a ton of low carb modified ideas.

Guys, I am so discouraged My scale has not moved in 5 days! I don't know if I am doing something wrong!! I started using the tracker here yesterday and I know that I haven't been drinking as much water as I should on some days...but it really gets discouraging.
I haven't bought a tape measure yet, going to pick one up tonight after work...so maybe if I see inches I will be ok...
I just don't understand...I keep my carbs under 30/day and I don't cheat...I thought that during induction the calories weren't as important to count? Have I misunderstood??
HELP!! :'(

Hi Krissy,
I try to keep my carbs below 20 grams a day and I also try to be aware of my calories too. I have found out in the past that when my calories get too high I don't lose.

It can get very discouraging (spelling) that was what I had the last time on LC, I was doing it for ...weeks...and the scale would not budge where the first time around, man it was quick!!

Somehow I have to get through my head that its okay if the scale is not going to budge, eventually it will and I need to look at the long road ahead, that this is my way of eating. This what makes me feel good.

When I eat the carb loaded stuff, I just can't stop eating it, it puts me on a binge with food. As long I eat LC I do not have those cravings and I need to keep reminding myself that.

Today is my little ones birthday, cake in the house and I am planning to take them to the beach and have hotdogs and marshmellows, I can do the hotdogs but not the other stuff, the cake, the MM you get it....

I hope I get through it okay, I just made myself a hash...spam, tomato and a little union that should hold me over right?
