Pam would there be any good docs in Atlanta then? I did drive 2 hours one way to see my "old" doctor. And she did work with me over the phone. I just wish I could find a naturopath or DO. I will have to do some digging, but my own limited searches have come up with nothing. I was thinking that 2 hours would be my limit to drive as it took some wrangling to get DH on board with going THAT far--just to see a doctor.

Well, couple of weeks now on the Metformin. First few days I LIVED in the potty...oh my...lost six pounds (that's not a good thing for me right now). But, now, things have leveled out, and I don't feel as bloated in the belly, and just feel..um..more settled. I have weaned down a little on the steroids and they will wean some more next month.

I just know I feel 'better' and my FBG's are back to being around 86 to 90...don't know my fasting insulin at this point, but just know the Metformin must have been the 'right thing' to do.

Thank you everyone for your help in steering me along there...actually, along with all my food charting I brought with me to the doc, I did point out a few posts here and at another site and he sat and listened, and called my endo, and my immunologist and looks like we'll just stay with the metformin and keep testing for now.
