I am in the Walkerville area right near the park. I also drive school bus, lol.

Ckreestone, That is so cool. My dad use to own the store now called I think Jackie's Variety at the corner of Wyandotte and Devenshire. When he owned it, it was Cappie's Variety. I grew up in St. Clair Beach but started out on Josephine.

When I was in Windsor I work at Devonshire and Tecumseh Malls as Security.

I still have family there when I come for a visit maybe we can meet for a healthy lunch or a walk in your park.

Sounds great 2b125. Even more strange is that I still call that store Cappies. There is where I first come to love chili and crackers, lol. I was only 9 & 10 when I first discovered and fell in love with that store. One of my many memories I share with my family and friends. Too much hey?

Ckreestone, if you don't mind me asking how old are you? I use to go to the store with my dad on the weekends. We might have met already once. I am 44. I would have been in the store from '69 to '76 maybe even as late at '78. Before my dad sold the store.

I turned 44 in June. We lived on Walker road and I went to St. Anne's grade school from 1972-75, then King Edward in 76. It more likely would have been 75&76 that I ventured that store. Then we moved to West Windsor.

I went to Benson Public for Kindergarten and then we moved to St. Clair Beach. There it was D. M. Eagle, A. V. Graham and then Belle River High.

I went to 4 grade schools, St. James, St. Annes, King Edward, Marlborough. But one high school, Forster. Benson is one of our schools (bus). A workmate friend of mine has 3 kids that go to Belle River public, and soon to be Belle River high.

I turned 44 on the 22nd of June. Kind of freaky to see how much we actually have in common. And I found this website accidently. I saw the link "where are all the Canadians" and just for fun decided to answer in that thread. That was the very first time I came to this website, not even two days ago I guess.
