Lightbulb Check the spicy pork rinds....

You may want to double check the label on the spicy pork rinds.... I bought a bag the other day, was in heaven while I was munching away....then about 20 mins later, I had a headache and stomach ache - looked at the bag, and it was loaded with sugar (3 different types). I don't think all spicy brands have sugar, but check it out.... Just a thought!

I'd be lost without my Pork Rinds...they satisfy my crunch need and they are filling (I think they must expand in your stomach?) You just have to watch how much you eat.....I eat about 1/2 to 1 cup of these a day dipped in sourcream and/or Salsa

Default Rudolph's Bacon Snaps Microwave Pork Rinds

We have them at our local WalMart SuperCenter in the snack aisle.

Approx $3.50 (US) for 6 packages (9.75 oz total).

They nuke up nice and light and lightly flavored for the most part.

Very nice!

I plugged the nutrition info from my bag of piggie puffs into the hidden carbs calculator and it said they have about 5 carbs. Did I do something wrong?

Hard to tell if you did something wrong, you didn't say what information you plugged in...

Were they flavoured piggie puffs (they have carbs sometimes)?

What protein, fat, carb, etc., numbers did you put in?

I can't remember what the numbers were 'cause the bag is gone but they were the same numbers that someone posted earlier in this thread...the problem seemed to be that one time the result would be 5 grams and then another time, with the exact same numbers, the result would be a negative number, mean 0 I suppose...seemed to get two different results with the same entries.

Default In the tater chip section

I'm in BC and I've found them at most grocery stores, although sometimes you have to look hard as they seem to blend in very well with all the other chips and they don't usually have as many bags of them out as compared to the other stuff. Also, if you have SuperStore I'm sure they'll have the no name brand that they have here - much better price and taste the same as the higher priced brand names...also the no names come in regular, bbq, and hot and spicey.

Good luck on your search.

Hi, Win609, and welcome.

Have you looked in the Local LowCarbing Support::Canada Forum? Also, see the Low-Carb Yellow Pages quicklink over on the right? Useful stuff.

You might also want to hie yourself over to the Introductions and Newbie's Questions forums.

Hope this helps.

Default carbs for pork rinds

The food list says plain pork rinds are zero carbs, but the bag of plain rinds I bought says .6 carbs per serving and there are 7 servings in a bag or 4.2 carbs. A waffle recipe I tried also stated that there were zero carbs; so do I have to buy a particular brand? I really like the waffles but not 4 carbs worth, esp since I am on the induction diet.
