Aw darnit Nancy. I was hoping it would work for you. I don't think it worked for me the first two days that I took it. So maybe there is hope. I noticed on the third morning that my fbg was in the eighties. Then I was happy.

Nancy my fbg this morning was 102. I'm going to keep taking it and watch my diet more closely. I'll keep you posted in this thread.

This morning FBG 95. I'm going for a two mile walk now. Then off to yoga later this afternoon.

Ok 92 this morning! That's a pretty good number for me, but sometimes I get that randomly. I took 450mg yesterday. One thing I didn't notice is that this milk thistle also has turmeric. I wouldn't have bought it, turmeric upsets my stomach.

what brand is it? I rather like turmeric because it's anti inflammatory and I have arthritis. It would probably work great for me.

I hope your FBG numbers keep dropping. I think milk thistle will work for me but i still have to keep a tight control on the carbs. I think I only ate around 40 grams of carbs yesterday for the whole day and maybe even less. Usually when I do that I can keep my FBG low with herbs.

My carbs are usually around 20g (net) or less. Protein really hikes up my BG though.

I bought NOW brand. I think next time I might try Jarrow.

How much protein are you eating? I can't really tell if protein hikes mine up or not because I usually eat it with fat. I'm trying to keep my protein at 60 grams or under. No more than 20 at each meal. And most days I don't get that much but nearer 40 grams.

Hmmm... I don't measure it that closely. Probably 3-4 oz of meat twice a day, a bit less for breakfast. I don't eat dairy products (or nuts) so that makes eating loads of fat unfeasible.

This mornings FBG 84. So keeping my carbs as low as possible is probably the key. I don't think I ate over 30 grams yesterday.

If you don't eat nuts it would be a bit hard to keep the fat up. I grab a small handful of walnuts or mac nuts throughout the day off and on and thats one reason why it's hard for me to keep track of my carbs. But nuts have fiber in them so I dont worry about it. I only eat small portions of dairy products two or three days a week as it still blocks the sinuses somewhat.

Nuts upset my stomach, as do seeds.

Anyway, so far the MT hasn't done anything for my FBG but my PP glucose readings are pretty nice. In the high-80's low-90's.

FB this moring was 89. I"m wondering if I should stay on the milk thistle all the time or not. When I took berberine I usually had low FBG so probably not necessary to stay on it.

Hmm... well I think I can safely say the MT isn't helping me with the morning BG. Boy, I just don't seem to be responding to anything other people are.

From what I read sounds like MT doesn't really have any bad side-effects and there's no reason not to continue taking it.

My dad takes it all the time to protect his liver because he's on a lot of drugs. So far his liver is good. It's his kidneys that are going but there's not much he can do about it since he wont' get off of the drugs.

Well, my post-meal readings are absolutely gorgeous though. I hadn't been doing much PP testing, but I think they're better.
