new to this thread...just wondering what phase you all are in? Last time I did South Beach I just kind of settled into the 2nd phase (after losing 10 lbs in the 1st) and then eventually broke my diet. I'm looking to get back on track but I was wondering if you all followed the phases' timelines exactly?

Hi and welcome!

I'll try to answer your questions. phase I is only for 2 weeks....so only newbies are officially doing phase I. Most are in phase II. I am in phase III and have been for the past 3 years. I use all the phases to manage my weight, I call it floating between the phases.

Phase II is too be followed as long as it takes to get to your ideal goal weight. Its different for each of us.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, very sweet , I added 2 more workouts to my routine and I guess the building muscle is burning more calories... Thats the only explanation I can think of... Its only 15 minutes more than usual but I can definitely feel the workouts working.

Default New digital scales

Here is the sad outcome of my weighing today on brand new digital scales (a Christmas present). Uptil now I had a mechanical one. These new ones are brutally honest. Oh well, special dieting efforts will be required in order to undo the 'harm'.

First of all, its not Monday! Today is Thursday, 12/25.
Second, just becasue a number on the scale is not what you "think" it should be, does not mean that you've gained or that there is harm.

When I got a new digital scale, it also weighed me +4 lbs from my previous scale. I still lost the same amount of weight as I then raised my high/start weight by the same 4 lbs.

All things need to be equal. If you feel good where your body is now(and you have stated that you do) at your current weight, please consider this before you go back into weight loss mode. Please do not allow yourself to get into an underweight condition.

Yes, I am concerned for you.

Default Promised!

Oh well, I wanted to wait until my new scales arrived.

There are still some parts of my body that could lose a little more. Before I get too thin, I'll stop and start maintaining again, I promise.

And please don't worry. There is absolutely no need to.

This evening some pictures were made. I'll put them into the galery soon.

Default Long time no see

Hi girls,

You must be having a great time. Inspired by the Challenge topics I've been daily brisk walking / jogging in the park since December 26 for about 5 miles in roughly an hour's time (4.5 miles in the park and 0.5 mile walking to and from the park). I hope to see you all soon.

Good job on the exercise Liz. You'll get your weight back down to where you like it in no time.

As for me, I'm saying GOODBYE TO THE 240'S this week!!!! Can't say that I'll miss them at all.
